HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
3.

POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS

INHALATION: Inert nuisance dust. Temporary drying effect and/or mild irritation of mucous membranes may
result from excessive exposure. Exposure to dust may aggravate pre-existing respiratory conditions.

EYES: Inert foreign body hazard only.

SKIN: Non-corrosive; non-irritating; and non-sensitizing; may have a drying effect on the skin. Prolonged contact
may result in rashes/irritations due to drying of the skin and/or mechanical abrasion related to skin-to-clothing
contact or skin-to-skin contact.

INGESTION: No adverse health effects anticipated by this route during proper industrial handling.

CHRONIC EFFECTS/CARCINOGENICITY: Repeated exposure to the product is not anticipated to cause any
significant adverse health effects. The components of this product are not considered potential carcinogens in the
by NTP Annual Report on carcinogens or by OSHA, ACGIH, IARC, or California 鈥淧roposition 65.鈥?

FIRST AID MEASURES
4.

INHALATION: No specific treatment is necessary. If exposed to excessive levels of dust, and if cough persists,
remove to fresh air.

EYES: Flush with large amounts of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

SKIN: Wash with water and mild soap. Use of moisturizer may be helpful.

INGESTION: No adverse effects anticipated by this route of exposure during proper industrial handling.

FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
5.

FLASH POINT: None.

AUTOIGNITION TEMPERATURE: Not applicable.

FLAMMABLE LIMITS: Not applicable.

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Not applicable.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Not applicable.

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: None required.

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
6.

Vacuum or sweep product and place in disposal container. Minimize run-off from entering storm sewers and ditches
which lead to natural waterworks.

HANDLING AND STORAGE
7.

HANDLING: Avoid breathing dust and contact with the skin. Take suitable precautions against the discharge of
static electricity during powder handling operations.

STORAGE: Store in dry area.

EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
8.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Good natural ventilation will be sufficient in most circumstances. Local exhaust
ventilation may be necessary if airborne dust concentration approaches the exposure limit(s).

INHALATION PROTECTION: Use NIOSH approved dust or HEPA respirator if exposure limit(s) is or may be
exceeded.

EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses with sideshields, faceshield, and/or goggles to protect against airborne dust.

HAND PROTECTION: Use of gloves is suggested when prolonged or repeated contact with hands is likely.

SKIN PROTECTION: Use of gloves is suggested when prolonged or repeated contact with hands is likely.
Individuals having sensitive skin may find it beneficial to use a barrier cream or moisturizer when excessive or
prolonged contact with skin is likely.
