CHRONIC EFFECTS
Chronic feeding studies in animals show that the compound is neither genotoxic nor teratogenic. However,
hydramethylnon caused testicular atrophy in animals following repeated exposure.

ADVICE TO DOCTOR
There is no specific antidote. Treatment of overexposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and
the clinical condition.
TOXICITY
The acute oral LD50 in both male and female rats is > 5000 mg/kg indicating this product is practically
non-toxic.
Acute Dermal LD50 (Rabbit) >2000 mg/kg (slightly toxic)
This product is not irritating to rabbit skin or the rabbit eye.
Hydramethylnon is not listed as a carcinogen by IRAC, NTP or OSHA.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight.
Protect from exposure to fire and heat.
SPILLS AND DISPOSAL
Place spilled or damaged containers in a closed container and return to BASF Australia Ltd.
Do NOT flush to drains or sewers. Do NOT contaminate streams, rivers or watercourses.
Dispenser should be completely empty before disposal. Dispose of empty container by wrapping in paper,
placing in a plastic bag and then in garbage.
Empty containers and product should NOT be burnt.

FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD
Thermal decomposition may produce carbon monoxide and/or carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and hydrogen
fluoride.
Use water, foam, carbon dioxide, or dry chemical to extinguish fires.
Wear self-contained, positive pressure breathing apparatus and full fire fighting protective clothing.
Keep unnecessary people away. Use as little water as possible. Dike area of fire to prevent pesticide run-off.
Use spray or fog - solid stream may cause spreading.
Do NOT decontaminate personnel or equipment, or handle broken packages or containers without protective
equipment as specified in the Personal Protection Section.
Decontaminate emergency personnel with soap and water before leaving the fire area.
Avoid breathing dusts, vapours and fumes from burning materials. Control run-off water - if water enters a
drainage system, advise the authorities downstream.
