Indurathane 890 Clear Coat Acrylic Urethane Interior / Exterior 0105

Description & Uses
(Not Intended For Residential Use) Indurathane 890 Clear Coat Acrylic Urethane is a high solids, three component, low VOC, clear acrylic
urethane. 890 Clear is designed to provide enhanced weathering, abrasion, and color retention when applied over pigmented urethanes. 890
Clear is an excellent anti graffiti coating. 890 Clear is perfect for use on structural steel, bridges, barges, pipelines, tank exteriors, marine
applications, demanding high performance industrial maintenance and architectural applications where enhanced durability of the finish coat is
desired. Application of 890 Clear can improve overall life expectancy of industrial coating systems by as much as 50 percent.

Surface Preparation
Indurathane 890 Clear Coat, Acrylic Urethane is designed to be used as a protective top coat and may be applied over Finnaren & Haley
Indurathane 880, Indurathane 881 and Indurathane 890. All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, chalk, and any other
contaminants that can reduce adhesion via SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning. Consult your Finnaren & Haley representative for appropriate coating
systems for given substrates.

Primers
Consult your F&H Representative, or the technical data page for the urethane coating to be clear coated for proper primer, mid coat and top coat
recommendation.

Mixing
Thoroughly stir each component.
Pour component C into component A (mixing ratio by volume: 8 parts component A, to 1 part component C). Mix well.
Then pour component B into the container which now contains Parts A and C, mix thoroughly again. No induction time necessary. Do not
mix more than can be applied in within the specified pot life time at the given temperature; allow additional time to clean lines and
equipment.

Thinning
Thin up to 10 fluid ounces per gallon with 791851 reducer. Thin only if allowed by local air quality & air pollution regulations. Addition of
reducers should be done immediately after activation of the product and not later than 25 minutes after activation.

Application
ROLLER: Roll using a 录鈥? Phenolic core cover. Keep roller wet. Roll in one direction, rewet, then cross roll.
BRUSH: Apply using a natural bristle brush.
Brush and roll application may require multiple thin coats to achieve a uniform finish and full film development.

Recommended Spread Rate
550 - 1105 sq. ft. per gallon at 1.0-2.0 mils dry film thickness

Clean Up
Clean up all tools & equipment immediately after use with 791851 Reducer. Flush out all spray tips, fluid lines and pressure pots immediately
after use.

Dry Time
Dry times are calculated with a 2.0 mil wet film @ 50% relative humidity. Expect longer dry times in periods of higher humidity or lower
temperatures or when applying thicker films. If the maximum recoat window is exceeded the film must be mechanically abraded before
recoating.

Special Information
Do not apply if material, substrate or ambient temperature is above 100潞 F or below 40潞 F. do not apply if relative humidity is above 85%,
flashing and slow dry may occur. Old coatings should be tested for lifting before applying Indurathane 890 Clear Coat Acrylic Urethane. If
substrate temperatures are above 100潞 F for more than 72 hours, pretreatment may be required before an additional coat of Indurathane 890 Clear
is applied. When recoating beyond 7 days, additional surface preparation may be required. Spread rates are based on volume solids and do not
take in to account for loss factors, porosity or roughness of the surface being coated, application tools, techniques or any other variables. As an
anti graffiti coating Indurathane 890 Clear Acrylic Urethane can be applied over many other coatings, (Test for lifting, adhesion & compatibility
before application). Surfaces that have been protected by 890 Clear can easily be cleaned with xylene or MEK. Indurathane 890 clear urethane
is resistant to most spray paints, pen, ink, lipstick, crayon etc.
