4. First aid measures
General advice: In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label
where possible).
Inhalation: Move the patient to fresh air and keep at rest. In the event of symptoms obtain medical treatment.
Skin contact: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash off with soap and water. If skin problems
persist, seek medical advice.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. An eye specialist must be
consulted immediately: instillation of local anaesthetic e.g. 1% amethocaine hydrochloride eye drops. Give
analgesics as necessary.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Keep body calm, protect against loss of heat.
Seek medical advice immediately.
Notes to physician
Symptoms: The following symptoms may occur. Eye and mucous membrane irritation. May cause skin and
eye irritation.
Treatment: There is no antidote. Treat symptomatically.

5. Fire fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide.
Specific hazards during fire fighting: In the event of fire the following can be released: carbon monoxide,
carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, phosphorous oxides (e.g. phosphorous pentoxide)
Special protective equipment for fire fighters: Use breathing apparatus.

Environmental precautions: Keep people and animals away. Do not discharge into the drains/ surface water/
groundwater. If spillage enters drains leading to sewage works inform local water company immediately. If
spillage enters rivers or watercourses, inform the Environment Agency.
Methods for cleaning up: Dampen, pick up mechanically and dispose. Pick up and fill the product into a
tightly closed container. When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "Disposal".

consultation with site operator and/ or responsible authority. Can be landfilled or incinerated, when in
compliance with local regulations. Advice may be obtained from the local waste regulation authority (part of the
Environment Agency in the UK).
Contaminated packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste. Empty
containers can be landfilled after cleaning, when in compliance with the Environmental Protection (Duty of
Care) Regulations 1991.
