**** SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION ****

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Highly flammable. Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if
swallowed. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. Heating
may cause an explosion.

Potential Health Effects
Eye:
Causes eye irritation. May cause redness, pain, blurred vision and
possible eye damage. May cause chemical conjunctivitis and corneal
damage.
Skin:
Causes skin irritation. Harmful if absorbed through the skin. Causes
redness and pain.
Ingestion:
Harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation of the digestive tract.
May cause headache, nausea, fatigue, and dizziness. May cause
central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous system effects.
Inhalation:
Causes respiratory tract irritation. May cause central, peripheral,
and autonomic nervous system effects. Harmful if inhaled.
Chronic:
No information found.

**** SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES ****

Eyes:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.
Skin:
Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while
removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if
irritation develops or persists. Wash clothing before reuse.
Ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4
cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person. Get medical aid.
Inhalation:
Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult,
give oxygen. Get medical aid if cough or other symptoms appear. Do
NOT use mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Notes to Physician:

**** SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES ****

General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in
pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full
protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases
may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. Will burn
if involved in a fire. Dust can be an explosion hazard when exposed
to heat or flame. This material in sufficient quantity and reduced
particle size is capable of creating a dust explosion. Flammable
solid. May re-ignite after fire is extinguished. Containers may
explode when heated. Explosive vapor-air mixtures may be formed at
temperatures above the flash point.
Extinguishing Media:
In case of fire, use water, dry chemical, chemical foam, or
alcohol-resistant foam. Contact professional fire-fighters
immediately. Cool containers with flooding quantities of water until
well after fire is out.

**** SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ****

General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated
in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal
container. Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the
Protective Equipment section. Scoop up with a nonsparking tool, then
place into a suitable container for disposal. Avoid generating dusty
conditions. Remove all sources of ignition. Provide ventilation.

**** SECTION 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE ****

Handling:
Wash thoroughly after handling. Use with adequate ventilation.
Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid contact with skin
and eyes. Empty containers retain product residue, (liquid and/or
vapor), and can be dangerous. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame.
Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Wash clothing before reuse. Do not
pressurize, cut, weld, braze, solder, drill, grind, or expose empty
containers to heat, sparks or open flames. May explode during vacuum
distillation. Do not use this process.
Storage:
Keep away from sources of ignition. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep
from contact with oxidizing materials. Flammables-area.

**** SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION ****

Engineering Controls:
Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped
with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use adequate general or
local explosion-proof ventilation to keep airborne levels to
acceptable levels.
Exposure Limits
CAS# 95-14-7:

Russia: 5 mg/m3 TWA

Personal Protective Equipment

Eyes:
Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical
safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face
protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European
Standard EN166.
Skin:
Wear appropriate gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Clothing:
Wear appropriate protective clothing to minimize
contact with skin.
Respirators:
Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29
CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a
NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved
respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if
irritation or other symptoms are experienced.
