**** SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION ****

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Causes burns. Harmful by inhalation.Corrosive.Lachrymator (substance
which increases the flow of tears).Moisture sensitive.

Potential Health Effects
Eye:
May cause eye injury. Lachrymator (substance which increases the
flow of tears). Causes eye irritation and burns.
Skin:
Contact with skin causes irritation and possible burns, especially
if the skin is wet or moist. This material is a vesicant, that is, it
will induce blistering.
Ingestion:
Causes gastrointestinal tract burns.
Inhalation:
May cause severe irritation of the respiratory tract with sore
throat, coughing, shortness of breath and delayed lung edema. Causes
chemical burns to the respiratory tract.
Chronic:
None

**** SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES ****

Eyes:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid
immediately.
Skin:
Get medical aid immediately. Immediately flush skin with plenty of
water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing
and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Destroy contaminated shoes.
Ingestion:
If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.
Get medical aid immediately. Do NOT induce vomiting. If conscious and
alert, rinse mouth and drink 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.
Inhalation:
Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure and move to fresh
air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

**** SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES ****

General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in
pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full
protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases
may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Extinguishing Media:
Do NOT use water directly on fire. Use carbon dioxide or dry
chemical.

**** SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ****

General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated
in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the Protective
Equipment section. Sweep up or absorb material, then place into a

wash before reuse. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not get in eyes,

Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry,
well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances. Keep away
from water. Corrosives area. Do not store in metal containers.

Engineering Controls:
Use process enclosure, local exhaust ventilation, or other
engineering controls to control airborne levels below recommended
exposure limits. Use adequate general or local exhaust ventilation to
keep airborne concentrations below the permissible exposure limits.
