Section 3: First Aid Measures
Eye contact Flush immediately with running water holding eyelids apart to ensure flushing of the entire eye surface.
Washing eyes within one minute is essential to achieve maximum effectiveness. Flush for 15 minutes. Seek
immediate medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin contact Wash contaminated skin with soap and water immediately. Remove contaminated clothing and footwear
immediately. Discard footwear and clothing which cannot be decontaminated. Seek immediate medical
attention if symptoms persist.
Hazardous skin No additional information
contact

Slight inhalation Remove person from contaminated area to fresh air. Resuscitate and/or administer oxygen as necessary.
Seek medical attention.
Hazardous No additional information
inhalation

Hazardous
If swallowed, call a physician or poison control center immediately. This pesticide is a cholinesterase inhibitor.
ingestion If possible, vomiting should be induced under medical supervision as product contains a cholinesterase
inhibitor. If conscious, drink 1 or 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting by touching back of throat with finger.
Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth if person is unconscious. NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: Atropine
is the emergency antidote for organophosphate poisoning. Atropine is the specific therapeutic antagonist of
choice against parasympathetic nervous stimulation. If there are signs of parasympathetic stimulation, atropine
sulfate should be injected at ten minute intervals, in doses of 1-2 milligrams until complete atropinization has
occurred. Morphine, adrenaline or tranquilizers are contraindicated. Pralidoxime chloride (2-PAM chloride)
may also be used as an effective antidote in addition to and while maintaining full atropinization. In adults, an
initial dose of 1 gram of 2-PAM should be injected, preferable as an infusion in 250 cc of saline over a 15-30
minutes period. If this is not practical, 2-PAM may be administered slowly by intravenous injection as 5%
solution in water over not less than two minutes. After about an hour, a second dose of 1 gram of 2-PAM will be
indicated if muscle weakness has not been relieved. For infants and children the dose of 2-PAM is 0.25 grams.

Section 8: Preventive Measures
Waste information Dispose of in accordance with all City, State and Federal regulations. Pesticide wastes are toxic.
Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture or rinsate is a violation of Federal law. If these
wastes cannot be disposed of by use according to label instructions, contact your State Pesticide or
Environmental Control Agency or the hazardous waste representative at your nearest EPA Regional
office for guidance. Do not reuse any of the container materials used in packaging this product. All
packaging materials must be destroyed after the product has been used.
Waste stream Toxic to fish
Storage Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Store in original container only. Store
at room temperature in a dry place out of the reach of children. Do not store open package.
Precautions Keep out of reach of children. Wash thoroughly after using and before smoking or eating. Do not
breathe dust or get into eyes, on skin or on clothing. Wash contaminated clothing with soap and hot
water before reuse. For emergency planning and community right-to-know (although drugs are
exempt) it is recommended reporting storage in excess of 1000 pounds of dichlorvos (10,416 pounds
of product).
