Emergency Overview:           This product is an adhesive remover. It is a cloudy white liquid

with a chlorinated solvent type odor.

Potential Acute Health Effects:

Eye:     Exposure may cause eye irritation. Symptoms may include stinging, tearing,

and redness.

Skin: Exposure to skin may cause skin irritation or a burning sensation. Prolonged or

repeated contact may cause skin to become reddened, rough and dry due to the removal

of natural oils and may result in dermatitis.

Ingestion:     Swallowing this material may cause gastrointestinal irritation (nausea, vomiting,

and diarrhea) and central nervous system depression (dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, fatigue,

nausea, headache, unconsciousness). May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract with

vomiting. This material may pose an aspiration hazard. Aspiration of this material into the lungs

may cause chemical pneumonitis, which may be fatal.

Inhalation: Excessive inhalation may produce symptoms of central nervous system

depression, ranging from light headedness, nausea and vomiting to unconsciousness and

death. Inhalation may cause respiratory irritation and transient pulmonary edema.

Excessive inhalation or ingestion may produce symptoms of central nervous system

depression ranging from light-headedness to unconsciousness and death. Can cause

headache, mental confusion, depression, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting,

cough, loss of sense of balance, visual disturbances and other central nervous system

effects. Persons with angina or other cardiovascular diseases should not be exposed to

this product

Potential Chronic Health Effects:

Signs and Symptoms: Can cause headache, mental confusion, depression, fatigue, loss

of appetite, nausea, vomiting, cough, loss of sense of balance and visual disturbances.

Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis.

         Section 4 First Aid Measures

Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes

holding eyelids apart to ensure flushing of the entire eye surface. Get medical attention.

Skin contact: Wash contaminated areas with plenty of soap and water. Remove

contaminated clothing and footwear and wash clothing before reuse. Discard footwear,

which cannot be decontaminated. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

Ingestion:      If swallowed contact a physician, poison control center, or hospital emergency

room. Do Not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. This material may

pose an aspiration hazard. Aspiration of this material into the lungs may cause chemical

pneumonitis, which may be fatal. If spontaneous vomiting occurs, monitor breathing for

difficulty. Treat symptomatically and supportively. Get medical attention. If the patient is

conscious, wash out mouth with water and give 200 -300 ml (half a pint) of water to drink.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, have trained person administer

oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Get immediate medical

attention.

Note to Physician:          Overexposure to this product can produce elevated carboxy

hemoglobin level.

Extinguishing Media:              Foam, Dry Chemical, Water Fog, CO2

Protection of Firefighters: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure

demand mode and full protective gear.





        Section 6          Accidental Release Measures

Clean Up Methods: Flush spilled material into suitable retaining areas or containers

with large quantities of water or can be taken on sand, earth, clay, floor absorbent and

shoveled into containers for disposal. Wear protective clothes and self-breathing

apparatus. Prevent runoff to sewers, streams or other bodies of water. Avoid sparks or

other flame to prevent thermal decomposition.

        Section 7          Handling and Storage

Handling: Do not use pressure to empty containers. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Containers, even those that have been emptied;

will retain product residue and vapors. Always obey hazard warnings and handle empty

containers as if they were full.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from incompatible materials.

Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Vapors of this product are heavier than

air and will collect in low places, such as pits or degreasers or other poorly ventilated

areas. Do not enter places where vapors are suspected unless special respirator

protection is worn and an observer is present.





        Section 8        Exposure Controls / Personal Protection

Engineering Controls:         Use in well-ventilated areas. If necessary, use mechanical local

exhaust ventilation or general room dilution ventilation to reduce vapor concentrations below

applicable exposure limits.



Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Eye Protection:        Prevent eye contact. Wear chemical splash goggles or similar eye

protection if the potential exists for eye contact.

Skin Protection:       Avoid unnecessary skin contact. It is recommended that PVA, rubber or

other impermeable gloves be worn to prevent skin contact. Depending on conditions of use

additional protective equipment may be necessary such as face-shield, apron or coveralls.

Respiratory Protection:         None required for normally expected use conditions. If exposure

limits are exceeded or if irritation is experienced, appropriate NIOSH approved respiratory

protection should be worn.

General Hygiene Practices: Wash after handling material. Prevent Eye contact. Avoid

prolonged skin and inhalation contact. Wash thoroughly before handling food, cosmetics, or

before smoking.

Hazardous Decomposition Products: Combustion may yield carbon monoxide, carbon

dioxide, phosgene and/or HCL. Do not breathe smoke or fumes. Wear appropriate

protective equipment.

Conditions to Avoid: Open flames, welding arcs or other high temperature sources.

Methylene Chloride:          A 1986 NTP, 2-year animal inhalation study report states that

there is "clear evidence of carcinogenicity" in mice (lung and liver tumors) and female

rats (mammary tumors). NTP list methylene chloride as reasonable anticipated to be a

human carcinogen. IARC lists methylene chloride as a Group 2B Carcinogen (having

inadequate evidence in humans and sufficient evidence in animals to evaluate

carcinogenicity).

Recommended Waste Disposal Method: This material, when discarded or disposed of, could

be a hazardous waste according to federal regulations (40 CFR 261) due to the characteristic of

ignitability (D001). The transportation, storage, treatment, and disposal of this waste must be

conducted in compliance with 40 CFR 262, 263, 264, 268, and 270. Disposal can only occur in
