First Aid Measures:
Effects of Exposure
Ingestion: May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract.
Eye Contact: May irritate eyes. Only mild to moderate irritation if eyes are promptly
washed.
Skin Contact: May cause skin irritation.
Inhalation: Dust may cause respiratory irritation. Symptoms may include
coughing and shortness of breath.
Emergency First Aid
Ingestion: If conscious, immediately rinse mouth with water & give water to
drink. Do not induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical assistance.
Do not give liquids to an unconscious person.
Eye Contact: Immediately irrigate with copious quantities of water for at least 15
minutes. Eyelids to be held open. Seek immediate medical assistance.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with large
amount of soap and water. If irritation develops seek immediate
medical assistance.
Inhalation: Remove victim from exposure - avoid becoming a casualty. Remove
contaminated clothing and loosen remaining clothing. Allow patient to

assume most comfortable position and keep warm. Keep at rest until
fully recovered. If breathing laboured ensure airways are clear and
administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped apply artificial
respiration at once. Seek immediate medical assistance.


Fire Fighting Measures:
Flash Point/Method: Not flammable.
Extinguishing Media: Use extinguishing media appropriate for
surrounding fire. Water spray, foam, carbon
dioxide, dry chemical powder.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Self-contained breathing apparatus and full
protective clothing when fighting fire if risk of
exposure to products of combustion.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Will decompose in a fire evolving toxic fumes.

Accidental Release Measures:
Spill or Leak Procedures:
Wear proper protective equipment. Ventilate area. Respiratory protection is required in
dusty environment. Sweep up spill but avoid generating dust. Vacuuming or wet
sweeping may be used to avoid dust dispersal. With a clean shovel, transfer spilled
material into clean-labeled containers for disposal.
Waste Disposal:
Disposal in accordance with federal, state or local regulations.


Handling and Storage:
Precautions To Be Taken In Handling And Storing:
Containers should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Store away from
foodstuffs or animal feed. Exercise caution to prevent damage to or leakage from
containers.


Exposure Control/ Personal Protection:
Respiratory Protection: Use NIOSH/MSHA approved respiratory protection if
airborne dust is expected.
Ventilation: Good general mechanical ventilation should be
sufficient for most conditions.
