Section 4 - First Aid Measures
Routes of Entry and Emergency/First Aid Procedures
1. Inhalation:

Mist and vapor can irritate the throat and respiratory tract. High vapor concentration may cause central
nervous system effects. Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, and drowsiness. Remove to fresh air.
Seek medical advice if symptoms continue. If not breathing, call 911 and give artificial respiration,
preferably mouth-to-mouth.
2. Eyes:

Can be corrosive to eye tissue - flush with water for 15 minutes, seek medical attention if irritation
persists.

3. Skin:

Irritant, may be corrosive if left on the skin - flush with water for 15 minutes.
4. Ingestion:

Gastrointestinal irritation, swelling of the larynx, difficulty breathing, circulatory shock, convulsions, or
death - Drink large amounts of milk, gelatin, or egg whites and seek medical attention. Do not induce
vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person.
