1. GENERAL HAZARD
Flammable Liquid; may release flammable vapors when temperatures are at or over the flash point.
Toxic gases will form upon combustion.
2. FIRE FIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
Allow fire to burn out under controlled conditions or Fight fire from a safe distance, extinguishing
with foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or dry sand. Do not use directly 鈥淲ATER鈥? to extinguish to
avoid the danger of fire spread that may be caused by floating flammable material on the water
surface.
But if possible to do without hazard, use water spray to cool fire exposed surface and isolate
material from heat.
3. EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Carbon dioxide, foam , dry chemical or dry sand
4. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
Respiratory and eye protection required for fire fighting personnel.
Full protective equipment(Bunker Gear) and a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) should be
used for all indoor fires and significant outdoor fires.
For small outdoor fires, which may easily be extinguished with a portable fire extinguisher, use of an
SCBA may not be required.
