4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-
mouth. If breathing is difficult give oxygen. Get medical attention.
Skin Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes.
Get medical attention. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse.
Eye Contact: Remove contact lenses. Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, holding
eyelids apart to ensure flushing of the entire surface. Washing within one minute is essential to
achieve maximum effectiveness. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Slowly dilute with 1-2 glasses of water or milk and seek medical
attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If vomiting should occur
spontaneously, keep airway clear.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Procedure for Cleaning/Absorption: Clean up immediately by sweeping or shoveling material into a properly labeled
container for disposal. Wear adequate personal protective clothing and
equipment. Do NOT mix with vermiculite, Oil-Dri@ absorbent, or any other
comparable materials that may be acidic. Recommended absorbents include
soda ash, calcium carbonate, clean sand, and clay if known to be inert and non-
acidic. Do not return material to original container.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

PRECAUTIONARYSTATEMENTS: WARNING!
ORGANIC PEROXIDE.

Handling: Ground all equipment.
Blanket vessel with inert gas where flammable vapors may be present.
Keep bins closed when not in use.
Store in cool dry place.
Store in well ventilated area.
Avoid breathing dust or vapors; if exposed to high dust or vapor concentration,
leave area immediately.
Wear chemical splash goggles, gloves and protective clothing when handling.

Keep away from heat, flame, sparks and other ignition sources.
Avoid storing product near incompatible materials. See MSDS Section 10.
Do not store in direct sunlight.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Engineering Controls: Local exhaust ventilation as necessary to maintain exposures to within applicable
limits. Please refer to the ACGIH document, "Industrial Ventilation, A Manual of
Recommended Practices", most recent edition, for details.
Respiratory Protection: When exposures exceed the PEL or TLV, use NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator
in accordance with OSHA Respiratory Protection Requirements under 29 CFR
1910.134.
Gloves: Appropriate chemical resistant gloves should be worn.
Skin Protection: Normal work coveralls.
Eye Protection: Chemical goggles or a face shield if splashing hazard exists.

Eye irritation (rabbit): mild conjunctivitis; no corneal effects. Not a skin irritant or
sensitizer in guinea pig test using Buehler protocol. Rabbit insufflation test,
repeated three times per day for up to four weeks at levels comparable with
workplace exposure, indicated nasal inflammation that persisted for two months
after termination of treatment.
