PRIMARY ROUTE OF EXPOSURE: If hot, burns on skin.
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE (ACUTE):
EYE CONTACT: Prolonged exposure to fumes or vapors may cause tearing. Contact with molten
material may cause thermal burns.
SKIN CONTACT: If molten, will cause thermal burns.
INHALATION: Solid material is not volatile so exposure is unlikely. If working with molten material,
may cause irritation of nose and throat. Fire may produce flames which are acrid.
INGESTION: Could cause irritation of digestive tract.
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE (CHRONIC): See eye contact above. May aggravate preexisting
respiratory problems if prolonged contact with fumes from molten material.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
EYE CONTACT: Flush with plenty of water for 10-15 minutes. Get medical attention if splashed
with molten material.
SKIN CONTACT: If molten material, cool first with cold water. Then treat for thermal burns. Seek
medical attention. Wash skin with soap and water.
INGESTION: Drink water to dilute effect. If digestive tract irritation develops or persists, seek
medical attention.
INHALATION: If irritation develops from vapors emitted by molten material, remove from source of
vapors. Remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention of irritation persists. Give artifcial respiration if
necessary.

will remove from floor. Dispose of as you would solid or organic materials.

products.
