First aid
General advice In serious cases, contact a doctor familiar with this type of
problem.
In case of contact with the skin Remove the contaminated clothing and wash immediately with
cold/lukewarm water (never use soap or hot water).
In case of contact with the eyes Gently flush with water. Do not use eye drops or ointments
before consulting an optician.
When ingested Do not provoke vomiting. Consult a doctor.
When inhaled Take the person out into the open air, keep him/her warm.
Artificial respiration may be necessary.
5 FIRE FIGHTING
Fire extinguishing agents chemical-based foamy agents, dry powder, carbon dioxide and sand
(do not sprinkle water).
Fire hazards If a fire breaks out, the product will produce toxic gases. Use a respirator or filter
mask.

6 WHAT TO DO IN THE CASE OF SPILLAGE
Environmental precautions In the case of spillage, prevent the substance from spreading by using sand or
earth. Clean up with absorbent material (e.g. fossil flour).
Keep away from open flames and sources of heat.
If the product flows into drainage systems or pollutes the land or stretches of
water contact the competent environment protection authorities.
7 HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling Protect your hands and eyes by using suitable gloves and safety glasses.
Do not cause sparks. Remove the caps with great care.
Storage Make sure there is a flow of fresh air in the work area. Store the containers well away from food
and food containers. Make sure the product containers are tightly closed and stored in a dry
place at room temperature. Keep out of direct sunlight.
Do not allow static electricity to be produced.
8 EXPOSURE AND PERSONAL PROTECTION
Technical controls Assure a flow of fresh air in the work area.
Personal protection
Breathe Do not inhale the vapors.
In areas where there is a small concentration of vapors, use suitable filter masks.
In closed places use respirators.
Hand protection Always wear waterproof gloves (preferably made of PVC and not rubber).
Eye protection Always wear goggles or face shields.
Skin and body Always wear clothing which will prevent the product from coming into contact
with the skin. Keep your work clothes away from your personal clothing.
Further safety precautions Do not drink, smoke and eat in the area where the product is handled and
processed.

produced.

11 INFORMATION ABOUT TOXICITY
Short-term toxicity
The product is extremely harmful to the nervous system. If highly concentrated vapors are inhaled or
large quantities are absorbed by the skin, this may have a narcotic effect. The product may irritate the
upper part of the respiratory system.
Long-term toxicity
Prolonged exposure may cause the digestive tract to hydrolyze and produces effects similar to those
which occur when methyl alcohol is used. In fact, methyl alcohol degreases the skin, irritates the
mucous membrane and may have a narcotic effect, which may cause comas or even death. If medical
assistance is delayed the heart, kidneys, liver and optic nerves may be seriously damaged.
Mutagenesis No effects of this nature have been found.
Cancerogenesis No effects of this nature have been found.

Precautions This product may be harmful to the environment when immersed in water. Avoid land and water
