ROUTES OF ENTRY: Ingestion

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE:

INHALATION: Does not normally present an inhalation hazard.

EYE CONTACT: May cause contact irritation.

SKIN CONTACT: May cause irritation in sensitive individuals.

INGESTION: Excessive ingestion of this material may cause constipation and/or irritation of the gastrointestinal
tract. Black stools will be present after ingestion.

CHRONIC EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: May cause dehydration and gastrointestinal irritation.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY OVEREXPOSURE: Hypersensitization to any ingrediant.
Dehydration. This product should only be used in a medical facility or under the supervision of a physician or poison
information center.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS TO CONSIDER: Great care should be taken to avoid aspiration of this product by
patient. Introduction of activated charcoal into the lungs can cause serious complications and even death.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

INHALATION: If victim is not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. In any
case, seek immediate medical assistance. See Other Precautions To Consider above.

EYE CONTACT: Flush with water for 15 minutes. If irritation develops or persists, seek medical attention.

SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water. If irritation develops or persists, seek medical attention.

INGESTION: Seek medical attention or contact a poison control center immediately.



SECTION 6 - CONTROL AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: No special respiratory protection required under normal use conditions (see Other
Precautions To Consider in Section 5 above).

PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Rubber or latex recommended.

EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses or goggles should be worn to avoid possible eye contact. Avoid wearing contact
lenses when working with this or any chemical due to the possibility of increased severity of eye injury.

VENTILATION: No special ventilation required under normal use conditions.

OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Appropriate laboratory apparel.

HYGIENIC WORK PRACTICES: Wash thoroughly after handling and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS: Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling and wash
any contaminated clothing before reuse.

STORAGE PRECAUTIONS: Avoid exposure to temperatures below 45o F and above 90o F.

SECTION 8 - SPILL AND DISPOSAL PROCEDURES

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE OF SPILL OR DISCHARGE: Wear all protective gear including goggles and
gloves. Contain spill, mop up with an absorptive material and place in tight container for disposal. Wash spill area with
soap and water. Wash thoroughly after handling and wash clothing and protective gear before reuse.

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Dispose of in accordance with all local, state, federal and environmental regulations.
