Infosafe No. 1TA3C
Product Name: Squirts Undercoat (Aerosol)
Classified as hazardous according to criteria of NOHSC

Health Effects
Acute - Swallowed If swallowed will cause irritation to the stomach lining. Severe lung damage
can occur if solvents are aspirated into the lungs.
Acute - Eye May cause severe eye irritation.
Acute - Skin Prolonged contact with the skin may have a defatting effect which may lead to
irritation and in some cases irritant contact dermatitis.
Acute - Inhaled Inhalation of solvent vapour may cause nose and throat irritation. Inhalation
of vapour may result in nervous system effects such as dizziness, nausea,
headache and sleepiness. Overexposures are irritating to the respiratory
system. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the
contents can be harmful or fatal.
Chronic Prolonged and/or repeated skin contact may lead to irritant contact
dermatitis.
First Aid
Swallowed If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting due to the hazard of solvent aspiration
into the lungs which may cause mild to severe pulmonary injury. Give a glass
of water. Seek medical attention.
Eye Act quickly. Irrigate copiously with clean fresh water for 15 minutes,
holding the eyelids apart. Seek medical attention.
Skin Remove contaminated clothing. Launder before re-use. Wash affected skin areas
with soap and water or an industrial skin cleanser. Seek medical attention if
irritation persists.
Inhaled Remove to fresh air if any effects apparent. Remove to fresh air, keep
patient warm and at rest. If breathing is irregular or has stopped administer
artificial respiration. Give nothing by mouth. Seek medical attention if any
effects persist.
Advice to Doctor
Advice to Doctor Treat symptomatically. Advise doctor of the presence of liquid hydrocarbons.

Eng. Controls Good general ventilation is normally sufficient. Ventilation should be
sufficient to maintain material levels below recommended exposure standards.
Mechanical or local exhaust ventilation should be used if available. Use in
well ventilated areas to prevent vapour build up.
Personal Protection
Respirator Type With good ventilation - none required. For application in confined
spaces,and/or with limited ventilation, wear a cartridge respirator fitted
(AS 1716)
with a suitable filter for organic vapours and particulates.
Eye Protection Wear chemical goggles or safety glasses with side shields.
Glove Type Impervious gloves

Flammability
Fire Hazards Highly flammable liquid. This product may form explosive concentrations of
vapours in air, particularly in confined spaces. DO NOT puncture or
incinerate aerosol cans. If exposed to fire or extreme heat, aerosol cans may
explode or 'rocket' producing fireballs. Keep unopened containers cool with
water spray. In confined areas or where exposed to vapours or products of
combustion, wear self contained breathing apparatus.
SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
Storage and Transport
Storage Precautions Store in cool, dry area, away from heat, sparks and open flame. Depending on
quantities involved, store as per the requirements of the Dangerous Goods
Class listed above. Refer to the relevant State regulations for details.
Store away from oxidising agents.
Proper Shipping AEROSOLS
Name
EPG Number 2D1
IERG Number 49
Packaging Method 5.9.2

Spills and Disposal
Spills & Disposal Ventilate area. Eliminate ignition sources. Wear personal protective equipment
as above. Contain and collect spillage with inert absorbent materials (eg.
sand, earth, vermiculite). Transfer to sealed containers with non sparking
tools. Do not allow into drains or watercourses. Dispose of any discharged
waste contents of aerosol cans, in accordance with relevant Federal, State
and/or Local regulations. Do not incinerate or puncture.
Disposal Disposal must be in accordance with local regulations.

Fire/Explosion Hazard
Fire/Explos. Hazard This product is a highly flammable liquid. Keep potential sources of ignition
away, when using or applying this product, and during drying. This product may
form explosive concentrations of vapours in the air, particularly in confined
spaces. Material will burn emitting carbon oxide combustion products.
Fire Fighting Keep containers cool by by playing water on them to reduce the risk of rupture
or explosion.
Precautions
Extinguishing Media Foam (large fires). Dry chemical, CO2 (small fires). Keep exposed unopened
containers cool with water spray. When entering enclosed areas, wear self
contained breathing apparatus.
Hazardous Reaction Product is considered stable under normal handling conditions. Decomposition
due to heating, will result in the evolution of gas, which can produce a
dangerous pressure build up in a sealed container. Can react with oxidising
materials.
OTHER INFORMATION
Other Information Principal toxic properties of this product are due to the solvent composition
and vapour inhalation hazards.
