3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Main hazards: Causes severe burns.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES (SYMPTOMS)
Skin contact: Causes irritation or burns
Eye contact: There may be severe pain.
Ingestion: Causes burns to mouth throat & stomach
Inhalation: If mist of the product is inhaled, it will cause severe burns to the respiratory system.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES (ACTION)
Skin contact: Remove all contaminated clothes and footwear immediately unless stuck to skin. Drench the
affected skin with running water for 10 minutes or longer if substance is still on skin. Seek
medical advice if irriation persists.
Eye contact: Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Transfer to hospital for specialist examination.
Ingestion: Give about 1/2 pint of liquid to drink. Obtain immediate medical advice. DO NOT INDUCE
VOMITING DUE TO THE DANGER OF ASPIRATION.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing media: This product is water based and will not support combustion. Suitable extinguishing media for
the surrounding fire should be used.
Protection of fire-fighters: Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Personal precautions: Refer to section 8 of SDS for personal protection details.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to contaminate watercourses or rivers.
Clean-up procedures: For large spills absorb bulk liquid into sand, earth or granules and consult local authority for
disposal.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling requirements: If the product is to be used for an application other than that stated on the label, contact
Technical Services Hotline (01773 880367) to check suitability. Avoid inhalation of high
concentrations of mist. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not mix with any material other
than water, as directed. Wear suitable personal protective equipment, as detailed in section 8.
Storage conditions: Keep away from direct sunlight. Protect from extremes of temperature.
Suitable packaging: Must only be kept in original packaging.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

STEL (15 min exposure limit): 2 mg/m3 (OES)
Engineering measures: Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area.
Respiratory protection: When required wear an alkali absorbant full facial breathing mask.
Hand protection: Wear nitrile or plastic coated gloves. Recomended 'Useful Time' Greater than 480 Minutes.
Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles.
Skin protection: Protective clothing with elasticated cuffs and closed neck.
