What is this program?
Over two million tons of electronic waste ends up in landfills each year and is becoming the fastest
growing portion of America鈥檚 waste. To help alleviate this problem in the graphic arts industry, Kodak鈥檚
Graphic Communications Group (Kodak GCG) is proud to introduce an Equipment Recycling Program.
This unique program is the first of its kind. It is specially designed to help printers recycle graphic arts
equipment in an environmentally responsible manner. Customers simply call the EnviroServices Hotline at
1-877-574-7274 ext.5 to initiate the return and recycling of equipment. Once all the information is
collected, Kodak will arrange the rest. It's as easy as that!

process your request promptly and keep you informed on the status.

Equipment Recycling Program
What can I return?
You can return the following:
鈥? Kodak GCG owned equipment such as processors, ovens and hoods on loan to you.
鈥? Customer owned graphic arts electronic equipment, such as Approval.
What is the cost of the program?
If the equipment you are returning is owned by Kodak, the program is free. There will be a cost for
shipping and recycling, if Kodak does not own the equipment you are returning. We will give you a quote
and will need your approval before proceeding.
How do I prepare the equipment for return?
The equipment you are returning will determine how you prepare the items for return.
鈥? If returning a processor, it must be EMPTIED and flushed with water prior to shipment. If your
equipment contains chemicals during shipment, you could be fined by DOT and Kodak GCG will
not accept it. Return freight or disposal costs will be charged to the customer.
鈥? If returning equipment containing a laser such as an Approval unit, disable the power supply to it
before shipping.
鈥? Ensure that the equipment is in one piece and moving parts will not come off during shipment.
鈥? To facilitate handling, either keep wheels on the equipment (if it comes with wheels) or secure the
equipment on a pallet.
鈥? Label each piece of equipment with the shipper and consignee information.
鈥? DO NOT ship any chemicals, inks or dyes with equipment.
鈥? Move equipment for shipment to your dock.
If you cannot meet any of the above requirements, you must contact Kodak GCG to make special
arrangements before shipping.
How do I ship the equipment?
The Equipment Recycling Hotline will pass your information on to the transportation company to arrange for
shipping. They will give you a time frame for equipment pick-up. Please prepare the equipment for shipping
according to the instructions above ahead of time and have it ready at your dock for pick-up for the
designated time. Failure to do this will cause delays and added expense.
