Instapak Foam Packaging Return Program
What is this program?
Sealed Air Corporation, the company that developed the Instapak foam, has a return program for Instapak
polyurethane foam-in-place packaging. The Instapak Foam Return Program reduces the amount of waste
going to landfills. If participation in this program is not feasible for your company, then Instapak foam may
be disposed of with ordinary waste.
What is Instapak Foam-in-Place Packaging?
This packaging material is comprised of creamy, yellow polyurethane foam encased in a silver or pink
polyethylene film. The cushion (both foam and film) can be returned to Sealed Air Corporation.
How do I participate?
鈥? Sealed Air Corporation has established 25 return centers worldwide for return of Instapak foam
packaging. The cushions may be returned to the locations listed in Table 1.
鈥? Once you have located the return center nearest you, call to ask about any special shipping
instructions.

Instapak Foam Packaging Return Program
What do I do?
Please ship the cushions prepaid (CODs will not be accepted) to the location nearest you, attn: Foam
Return Program. If you prefer to drop the material off, please call the site in advance.
鈥? The cushions may be bagged, baled or boxed.
鈥? The foam must be clean, dry and not adhered to any corrugated (cardboard) material.
鈥? Some recipients collect the foam in the largest available box that does not incur "oversize" charges
through UPS or RPS and compress as much foam as possible into the box before returning.
鈥? In addition to Sealed Air Corporation's return locations, some local packaging stores accept the
material for reuse, especially if the size of the individual cushions is not overly large. Check for local
acceptance.
