HEALTH HAZARDS
May cause irritation on contact with eyes, skin or mucous membranes. Prolonged inhalation may
cause coughing, shortness of breath, dizziness and intoxication. Slight health hazard if
ingested in large quantities. ACGIH PEL TWA 5 ppm. LD50 (inhalation-mouse) 123 g/m3/15 min.;
LD50 (inhalation-rat) >5880 mg/m3/4 hours. Not considered to be carcinogenic.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear goggles and rubber gloves while handling. Check
peroxide levels prior to evaporation or concentration.
FIRST AID
Wash contact area thoroughly with water. If swallowed, give water or milk and get medical
attention. Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed by a physician. For inhalation, remove to
fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, use artificial
respiration or CPR as necessary. Call a physician.
SPILLS & LEAKS
Ventilate area, remove ignition sources. Take up spill in absorbent. Disposal to approved waste
site, preferably incinerator.
