Colorless to light yellow crystals.     Odorless.



REACTIVITY & CONDITIONS TO AVOID

Stable under inert atmosphere. Decomposes in moisture and air.            Incompatible with acids, bases

and strong oxidizing agents.



FIRE HAZARDS

Not flammable, but will be consumed in a general fire emitting toxic fumes of carbon monoxide

and carbon dioxide. Firefighters wear SCBA.

HEALTH HAZARDS

Toxic by ingestion. Irritating to the eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Can be absorbed through

skin. Contact may result in dermatitis and sensitization. LD 50 (oral-rat) 100-136 mg/kg. Mist

or Vapor very irritating. OSHA PEL/ACGIH TLV not established. This material is not a listed

carcinogen. It DOES NOT indicate absence of carcinogenicity.



FIRST AID

Remove contaminated clothing immediately and launder before reuse. Discard contaminated shoes.

For eyes, flush with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes. Seek medical attention if

irritation develops. For skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water, while removing clothing.

Seek medical attention if rash should occur.     For inhalation, remove to fresh air.   If not

breathing give mouth to mouth resuscitation.    If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.   Seek

medical attention at once.    For ingestion, if conscious, dilute with water and immediately

induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.



SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Goggles, rubber gloves, protective clothing are required. Use only with adequate ventilation

and/or suitable respiratory protection. Avoid all contact.



SPILLS & LEAKS

Ventilate area.  Equip personnel with SCBA and full protective clothing.               Take up spill in

absorbent and dispose to incinerator or other suitable hazardous waste.                 Wash spill area

thoroughly with water after absorbent is picked up.
