and can be decreased by the use of gastric lavage, saline purgative and activated charcoal (possible
entero-hepatic recirculation).

5. Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media:
Carbon dioxide, Foam, Dry powders, Water spray

Specific Hazards:
Non-flammable.
May give rise to dangerous fumes (carbon and nitrogen oxides, hydrochloric gas) if strongly heated.
Avoid skin contact and inhalation of product.
Stable under normal conditions of use and transport.

Special Protective Equipment:
Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Further Information:
Contain run off.

6. Accidental release measures

Personal Protection:
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing or inhalation of product.

Personal protective clothing:
Full length overalls, waterproof protective gloves, boots, goggles or face shield and a dust mask for
prolonged or repeated handling should be worn when dealing with spills and disposals to minimize the
potential for increased personal exposure.

Spill Containment:
Deal with spillage immediately.
Keep people away and upwind of the spillage.
Contain the spill by damming, recover spilt product by absorbing with dry sand or earth then transfer the
recovered spilt material to a properly labeled drum. Seal the drum and arrange for use or disposal.
Wash down the affected area with water. Absorb washing water with inert material and place in a
properly labeled sealable container for subsequent disposal.
Warn the local water authority if contamination of drains, streams, watercourses etc is unavoidable.
