2. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION SUMMARY
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN 鈥? CAUTION 鈥? Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through skin. Avoid breathing dust and contact with eyes,
skin or clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling and before eating or smoking. Do not store near food or feed products. Do not contaminate ornamental
fishponds.
This product is buff to off white granules with mild mercaptan (rotten egg) odor. Primary routes of entry are skin contact, eye contact and Inhalation.
Warning Statements:
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: This product contains Diazinon, an organophosphate insecticide that inhibits cholinesterase. Atropine is antidotal and should be
given in multiple doses as necessary until the patient is atropinized. In severe cases 2-PAM may be given provided therapy begins within 24 hours of
exposure. Monitor serum and RBC cholinesterase. Morphine, theophylline, aminophylline, phenothiazines, reserpine, furosemide, or ethacrynic acid are
contraindicated in organophosphate poisonings. Administer intravenous fluids cautiously, if needed, to correct dehydration. Symptoms of cholinesterase
inhibition can include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, weakness, nausea, cramps, diarrhea, discomfort in the chest, nervousness, sweating, miosis,
tearing, salivation, pulmonary edema, uncontrollable twitches, convulsions, coma, and loss of reflexes and sphincter control.
Potential Adverse Health Effects:
Eye Contact: May cause irritation and redness.
Skin Contact: The most likely route of entry is skin contact; formulation is of low to moderate toxicity.
Ingestion: Contact a physician if material is ingested. The medical emergency telephone number is 1-800-301-7976.
Inhalation: Contact a physician if material is inhaled and breathing is difficult.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
If swallowed: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow.
Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person or convulsing person.
If on skin or clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or
doctor for treatment advice.
If inhaled: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably
mouth-to-mouth. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.
If in eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5
minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Dry chemical, foam, or carbon dioxide (CO2).
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Thermal decomposition products include, but are not limited to, oxides of sulfur and phosphorus
containing compounds. Incomplete combustion may lead to formation of carbon monoxide and other
asphyxiants.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus with full protective clothing. Fight fire from upwind and keep
all non-essential personnel out of area.
UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: If water is used to fight fire or cool containers, dike to prevent runoff contamination of municipal
sewers and waterways.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IF MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: For small spills, sweep up and place in an approved chemical container for proper
disposal. Check local, state and federal regulations for proper disposal. For large spills, sweep up and place in an approved chemical container for
proper disposal. Decontaminate the area with a household bleach and water mixture (1:2) and then absorb the liquid with clay or other absorbent. Flush
residual spill area with water.
CAUTION: Keep spills and cleaning runoff out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING: Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Remove clothing immediately if pesticide
gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Remove PPE after handling this product. Wash the outside of
gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.
STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from food or feed. Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or
disposal.


Personal Protective Equipment: Applicators and other handlers must wear: long sleeved shirt and long pants, waterproof gloves and shoes plus
socks. Follow manufacturer鈥檚 instructions for cleaning and maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables, use detergent and hot water. Keep
and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: When handlers use closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that meets with requirements listed in the
Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 CFR 170.240(d)(4-6)], the handler PPE
requirements may be reduced or modified as specified in the WPS.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Not normally required, if vapors or dusts exceed acceptable levels, wear a NIOSH approved pesticide respirator.
EYE PROTECTION: Chemical goggles or shielded safety glasses.
SKIN PROTECTION: Wear protective clothing: long-sleeved shirts and pants, shoes with socks. Wear waterproof gloves.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
STABILITY: Stable CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Excessive heat and moisture.

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: When Diazinon is reacted with trace amounts of water, O.S-TEPP and other hazardous products may be
formed. Thermal decomposition products include, but are not limited to, oxides of sulfur and phosphorus containing compounds. Incomplete combustion may
lead to formation of carbon monoxide and other asphyxiants.

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Diazinon is highly toxic to birds, fish and other wildlife. Birds, especially waterfowl, feeding or drinking on treated areas may be killed. Keep out of lakes,
streams, ponds, ponds, tidal marshes and estuaries. Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas
below the mean high water mark. Runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Shrimp and crab may be killed at application
rates recommended on the product label. Do not apply where fish, shrimp, crab, and other aquatic life are important resources. Do not contaminate
water by cleaning equipment or disposal of wash waters.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Do not reuse empty bags. Completely empty bag by shaking and tapping sides and bottom to loosen clinging particles into application equipment then
dispose of in a sanitary landfill or incinerate, or burn if allowed by state and local authorities. Stay out of smoke during burning. Do not reuse container.
Pesticide or equipment rinsate that cannot be used according to label instructions may be disposed on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. Do
not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.
