NOTICE
This product contains methylpolysiloxanes, which when heated to temperatures above 300掳 (150掳 in the
F C),
presence of air, can form formaldehyde vapors. Formaldehyde is a potential cancer hazard, a known skin and
respiratory sensitizer, eye and throat irritant, and an acute toxicant. Vapors irritate eyes, nose, and throat.
Safe handing conditions may be maintained by keeping vapor concentrations within the OSHA permissible
exposure limit for formaldehyde. (Note Product does not contain formaldehyde).

Will Hazardous Polymerization Occur? No

Conditions to Avoid for Polymerization Not applicable

Is the Product Stable? Yes

Conditions to Avoid for Stability Not applicable

Section 6 - Spill or Leak Procedures

Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled
Contain spill immediately. Do not allow spill to enter sewers or watercourses. Absorb with appropriate inert
material such as sand, clay, etc. Large spills may be picked up using vacuum pumps, shovels, buckets, or
other means and placed in drums or other suitable containers.

Waste Disposal Methods
Consult Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Section 7 - Exposure Control Information

Ventilation
General or local exhaust, or mechanical or special ventilation to maintain below recommended exposure limit.

Respiratory Protection
Generally not required if sufficient ventilation is provided. If the recommended exposure limit of the product is
exceeded, an approved vapor/mist mask should be used (consult your safety equipment supplier). If diluted
with solvent, protection suitable for the solvent must also be used.

Protective Clothing
Plastic or rubber gloves can be used for personal hygiene. Contact with this or any industrial chemical should
be avoided.

Other Protective Equipment
If eye contact with the material is likely, eye protection is recommended. Chemical Monogoggles or safety
glasses with side shields and a face shield will provide protection in most situations. Do not wear contact
lenses.

Other Engineering Controls
To determine exposure levels, monitoring should be performed. Monitor for formation of formaldehyde if the
product will be used at temperatures above 300掳 F and exposed to air.

Work Practices
Pure, Undiluted Silicone Bulk Mold Release page 4 of 4
IMS Company
January 2, 2001 Material Safety Data Sheet L-0000A

If diluted with solvent, do not use in confined or closed space. Ventilation should maintain the concentration of
the product below its exposure limits. We consider it good practice to maintain exposure to the mist from any
mold release below the OSHA Oil Mist exposure limit of 5 mg/m3 TWA.

Hygienic Practices
Wash thoroughly before eating or smoking after using this or any chemical product.

Regulatory Status
Listed in FDA, 21 CFR 181.28, as a release agent for food containers and packaging.

Section 8 - Special Precautions

area; clean as needed.

Read and follow directions and cautions on the container label, and any accompanying literature.

CAUTION Intentional misuse of this chemical product, as with any industrial chemical, in contact
with the body can be harmful or fatal. This includes such things as deliberately breathing, placing in
mouth, swallowing, placing on skin, or any other body contact, or repeated, or continuous contact.
