HEALTH EFFECTS - (Acute and Chronic):

Inhalation: FATAL OR HARMFUL IF INHALED. CNS depression at levels above 100 ppm; symptoms of visual
disturbances and mental confusion, incoordination, headache, nausea, euphoria and dizziness.
Respiratory tract irritation, unconsciousness, and death. If unconscious, get medical help at once!

Ingestion: FATAL OR HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. Unlikely route of entry. However, if ingested, get medical
help at once! Irritation to gastrointestinal tract, effects similar to inhalation, coughing, abdominal
pain, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, kidney failure. Estimated fatal dose if 3-5 ml/kg.

Eyes: Irritation and pain from slight temporary corneal injury, vapor, and liquid.

Skin: Severe irritation, defatting of skin, dermatitis, redness of skin, blistering, roughness, dryness,
secondary infection. Systemic effects from skin absorption.

Chronic: Chronic overexposure to Trichloroethylene could cause organ effects, liver, kidney, CNS and
peripheral nervous system, increased cardiac output, mutagenic effects. The finding of chronic toxic
effects in laboratory animals may indicate toxicity to humans. Exposure can cause intolerance to
ethyl alcohol.

PRIMARY ROUTES OF ENTRY Inhalation, skin.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE - see Chronic, Ingestion and Inhalation
topics also. Acute and chronic liver disease and rhythm disorders of the heart. Preexisting dermatitis may be
aggravated by exposure.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES

Eye Contact: Flush eyes immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. May cause temporary eye irritation.
Contact physician.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash exposed area with soap and water. Wash
contaminated clothing before re-use.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Keep patient warm and quiet. If breathing has stopped, administer artificial
respiration and **Get Medical Help At Once.**

Ingestion: An unlikely route of entry. However, if ingested, **Get Medical Help At Once.** Do not induce
vomiting. Aspiration into lungs can cause chemical pneumonia.

**Note to Medical Personnel**

Because of increased risk of eliciting cardiac dysrythmias, catecholamine drugs
(Epinephrine, Adrenaline) should be used with extreme care and only as a last resort.

Appearance and Odor Information: Clear to hazy liquid with odor of chlorinated solvent.

Section 5 - Physical Hazard Data
Flash Point (components percentages) ..........>200掳F Flammable Limits: LEL = 0.7 UEL = 52
Autoignition Temperature ............................>451掳 F
LEL/UEL flammable limits are based on min./max. values of components.

Extinguishing Media Foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide.

Special Fire Fighting Procedures Wear self-contained, full facepiece, positive-pressure breathing apparatus as
is suggested for all fires involving chemicals.

Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards Combustion by-products include phosgene, formaldehyde, and
hydrogen chloride gases 鈥? structural firefighter鈥檚 clothing usually provides only limited protection these chemicals.
Sealed containers may rupture when heated in a fire condition.

Incompatibility (Materials to Avoid) Strong oxidizers, strong caustics, strong alkalies, reactive metals
such as sodium, magnesium, barium, lithium, titanium, beryllium.

Hazardous Decomposition Products Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, various
incompletely burned hydrocarbon products, hydrogen chloride, phosgene (small quantities), chlorine,
silicone oxides.

Will Hazardous Polymerization Occur? No

Conditions to Avoid for Polymerization: NA

Is the Product Stable? Yes

Conditions to Avoid for Stability Open flame or other hot surfaces that can cause thermal
decomposition, temperatures high enough to rupture container, light, moisture, and incompatibles.

NOTE
This product contains methylpolysiloxanes, which can generate formaldehyde at approximately 300掳 F
(about 150掳 C) in atmospheres that contain oxygen. Formaldehyde is a skin and respiratory sensitizer,
eye and throat irritant, acute toxicant, and potential cancer hazard.

Section 6 - Spill or Leak Procedures
Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled Remove sources of ignition. Ventilate area to
reduce concentrations of the components below their exposure limits. Use protective equipment consistent with the
situation. Contain and recover liquid using non-sparking tools, inert materials 鈥? do not use combustible absorbents
such as sawdust. Do not flush to sewer or allow getting to any public water source. Place residue into metal
containers for proper disposal.

Waste Disposal Methods Recovered liquids may be sent to a licensed reclaimer or incineration facility.
Contaminated material must be disposed of in a permitted waste management facility. Consult Federal,
State, or Local disposal authorities for approved procedures. Do not puncture or burn containers.

Section 7 - Exposure Control Information
Ventilation General ventilation, local e xhaust, or mechanical or special ventilation to maintain product and

its components below their exposure limits.

Respiratory Protection Generally not required if adequate ventilation is provided. If the exposure limit of the
product or any of its components is exceeded, an approved organic vapor mask should be used (consult your safety
equipment supplier).

Protective Gloves Neoprene is a recommended material for personal protective equipment including gloves and
clothing. Wear at least solvent-resistant gloves where prolonged or repeated contact with the spray mist or
deposited product is likely.

Other Protective Equipment If contact with the spray is likely, eye protection is recommended. Chemical
Monogoggles or safety glasses with side shields and a face shield will provide protection in most situations. Do not
wear contact lenses.

Other Engineering Controls To determine exposure levels, monitoring should be performed. Eyewash station
should be available.

Work Practices Do not use in confined or closed space. Ventilation should maintain the concentration of the
product and its components below their exposure limits.

Hygienic Practices Avoid contact with skin and avoid breathing vapors. Do not eat, drink, or smoke in work area.
Wash hands before eating, drinking, or using restroom after using this or any chemical product.

Section 8 - Special Precautions
Precautions to be Taken in Handling and Storage
Store in cool, dry area out of direct sunlight. Do not puncture, incinerate (burn), or heat above 130掳F either full or
empty containers. Give empty, leaking or full containers to a disposal service equipped to handle such residue
containers 鈥? containers may be hazardous since they retain residues, vapors, liquid 鈥? observe all warnings and
precautions listed for the product.

Static electricity is always a potential when transferring bulk volumes of liquids. Consideration must be given to
bonding and grounding of equipment during such transfers.

Maintenance Precautions Do not remove or deface label.

Other Precautions Vapor is heavier than air and can collect in low areas. Read and follow directions and
cautions on the container label and any accompanying literature.

Additional Comments Boiling point and other physical data may be based on a component鈥檚 value.

CAUTION Intentional misuse of this chemical product, as with any industrial chemical, in contact with the body can
be harmful or fatal. This includes such things as deliberately breathing, placing in mouth, swallowing, placing on skin
or any other body contact or repeated, or continuous contact.
