FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS
When mixed with air and exposed to an ignition source, sufficient dust may
become an explosion hazard. Use good housekeeping practices to avoid
rendering dust airborne and prevent electrostatic charge formation during
transfer and use of this material. Ensure that all equipment and containers
are adequately grounded. Vapors generated from overheating/decomposition may
be flammable and may cause fire/explosion if source of ignition is present.

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Dry chemical
CO2
Foam
Water spray/water fog for cooling containers

SPECIAL FIREFIGHTING PROCEDURES
Do not enter fire area without proper protection. See Section 4 --
decomposition products possible. Fight fire from safe distance/protected
location. Apply extinguishing media carefully to prevent frothing or steam
explosion. Water may be ineffective for fighting fire due to material's low
solubility. However, water spray/fog may be used to cool containers. Avoid
contact with molten product to prevent serious burns. Avoid raising powdered

materials into airborne dust, creating an explosion hazard. Notify
authorities if liquid enters sewer/public waters.

07. HEALTH HAZARDS
ROUTES OF EXPOSURE

INHALATION -- PRIMARY ROUTE
Excessive exposure may cause cough, mucus production and shortness of breath.

EYE CONTACT -- PRIMARY ROUTE
No significant signs or symptoms indicative of any adverse health hazard are
expected to occur as a result of eye exposure.

SKIN ABSORPTION -- PRIMARY ROUTE
Although no appropriate human or animal health effects data are known to
exist, this material is not expected to be a health hazard by skin
absorption.

SKIN IRRITATION -- PRIMARY ROUTE
May cause minor skin irritation.
Symptoms may include slight localized redness or rash.
Prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin to become dry or cracked.

INGESTION
Although no appropriate human or animal health effects data is known to
exist, this material is not expected to be an ingestion hazard.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE
No additional medical information found.

08. PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT / CONTROL MEASURES
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
No occupational exposure standards have been developed for this material.
Where exposure through inhalation may occur from use, NIOSH/MSHA approved
respiratory protection equipment is recommended.

EYE PROTECTION
Even though not expected to be an eye irritant, eye protection, such as safety
glasses or goggles, should be worn and good personal hygiene should be used to
prevent eye contact with this material.

SKIN PROTECTION
Depending on the conditions of use, protective gloves, apron, boots, head
and face protection should be worn. This equipment should be cleaned
thoroughly after each use.

Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation to minimize exposure to
dust. If mechanical ventilation is used, electrical systems should conform to
National Electric Code.

OTHER HYGIENIC PRACTICES
Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the
immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.

OTHER WORK PRACTICES
Use good personal hygiene practices. Wash hands before eating, drinking,
smoking, or using toilet facilities. Promptly remove soiled clothing/wash
thoroughly before reuse. Shower after work using plenty of soap and water.

09. EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID
INHALATION
If overcome by exposure, remove victim to fresh air immediately. Give oxygen
or artificial respiration as needed. Obtain emergency medical attention.
Prompt action is essential.

EYE CONTACT
Not expected to present a significant eye hazard. However, in case of eye
contact, rinse with clean water for 15-20 minutes, retracting eyelids often.
Obtain medical attention if redness, tearing, irritation or other adverse
effects occur.

SKIN CONTACT
Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with mild
soap/water. Flush with lukewarm water for 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention if ill effects or irritation develops.
Wash clothing before reuse.

INGESTION
Not expected to present a significant ingestion hazard under anticipated
conditions of normal use. However, if ingested, obtain emergency medical
attention.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT PROCEDURES
Treat symptomatically.

10. SPILL AND DISPOSAL
PRECAUTIONS IF MATERIAL IS SPILLED OR RELEASED
Spilled or released material poses a dust explosion hazard if it becomes
airborne in the presence of an ignition source. Extinguish all ignition
sources. Use protective equipment during cleanup. On land, sweep/shovel into
suitable disposal containers or vacuum using equipment which avoids ignition
risk. On water, contain/minimize dispersion/collect. May contaminate water
supplies. Report per regulatory requirements.
Prevent entry into sewers, basements and confined areas. Dike if needed.

This product is not listed as a hazardous waste. To the best of our
knowledge, this product does not meet the criteria of a RCRA hazardous waste
when discarded in its purchased form (see 40 CFR 261). However, under RCRA it
is the responsibility of the user of a product to determine at the time of
disposal whether the product meets any of the criteria of a hazardous waste.
This is because the manner in which a product is used, processed, etc. may
alter it so that it becomes a hazardous material. Comply with
federal/state/local regulations for solid waste disposal. Incinerate or
landfill solids at permitted sites. Use registered transporters.

11. ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS
HANDLING AND STORAGE PROCEDURES
Store product in a cool, dry place away from acids, bases and strong oxidizing
agents. Keep product away from heat, sparks, open flame, and other ignition
sources. Keep containers tightly closed and prevent contamination with
foreign materials. Avoid dispersion of dust into air to reduce potential
explosion hazard. Eliminate ignition sources and use good housekeeping
practices to avoid rendering dust airborne. Prevent electrostatic charge
formation during handling, transfer, processing and use of this material by
properly designing material handling and processing equipment, bonding and
grounding all equipment and containers and providing an inert atmosphere.
Refer to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 654 publication,
"Standard for the Prevention of Fire & Dust Explosions in the Chemical, Dye,
Pharmaceutical and Plastics Industries" for complete discussion of dust
explosion prevention and control measures. Follow container warnings even
after container is emptied/residual dusts may explode on ignition--do not cut,
drill, grind, or weld on or near this container.

The shelf-life of this resin is one year from date of receipt if the product
is stored in the original unopened container, out of direct sunlight, at
temperatures between 50 and 90F and 50% relative humidity or less.

DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES
Follow standard plant procedures or supervisor's instructions for
decontamination operations.
