site of spillage thoroughly with detergent and water. For large spillages liquids should be contained with sand
or earth and both liquids and solids transferred to salvage containers. Any residues should be treated as for
small spillages.

Chemical residues are generally classified as special waste, and as such are covered by regulations, which
vary according to location. We strongly recommend that you retain the services of a licensed Waste Disposal
Company to dispose of your waste.

Rinse out empty containers thoroughly before disposal or recycling.

The containers recommended A, B, C etc allow for the consolidation of similar types of waste prior to
professional disposal.

Inorganic bases should be diluted if necessary by carefully stirring them into water and then neutralised
(protective gloves, fume cupboard!) with hydrochloric acid (Cat. No. 1.00312). Before placing in container D,
check the pH with pH universal indicator strips (Cat. No. 1.09535).
