Effects from Acute Exposure



Swallowed:                   Ingestion may cause vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal

                             pain.



Eyes:                        Contamination of eyes may result in physical irritation.



Skin:                        None-irritant.



Inhaled:                     Inhalation of dust may result in respiratory irritation.



                                   FIRST AID



Swallowed:                   Thoroughly rinse mouth with water. Material is poorly

                             absorbed. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical

                             advice if symptoms persist. Poison Information Centre

                             phone 13 11 26 Australia wide.



Eyes:                        Irrigate with copious quantities of water for 15 minutes.

                             Seek medical assistance if symptoms persist. (See

                             Health Hazards/Effects, above).



Skin:                        A small amount of skin contact is not normally harmful.



Inhalation:                  Remove victim from exposure 鈥? avoid becoming a

                             casualty. Seek medical assistance if symptoms persist.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS

Use adequate ventilation to maintain atmospheric dust and vapour concentration at

Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear overalls, chemical goggles, impervious gloves, and

rubber boots. Use with adequate ventilation.

For small spills wash area down with water. For large spills sweep up, collect and

Not combustible. When heated above 1100潞C emits toxic fumes of sulphur oxides.
