Section IV - Fire and Explosion Data

FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES:
FLASH POINT: 168掳F METHOD: TTC
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Flammable. Contents under pressure. Keep away from heat, sparks and
open flame. Do not puncture or incinerate container. Exposure to temperatures above 130掳F may cause bursting.
Do not use this product in or on electrical equipment due to the possibility of shock hazard.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical, Foam, or Water.
FIRE FIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand,
MSHA/NIOSH approved (or equivalent) and full protective gear. Keep upwind. Isolate hazard area. Avoid
Inhalation of smoke and fumes. Use water or foam to reduce fumes. Do not touch spilled material. If possible,
move containers from area. Extinguish only if flow can be stopped. Dike runoff. Cool containers with flooding
amount of water from as far a distance as possible. Avoid breathing vapors.
Hazardous Combustion Products: May form toxic materials: Carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, various
hydrocarbons, etc.

Section V - Health Hazard Information

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW: Causes minimal eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Prolonged or
frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals. This product is toxic to fish and
aquatic invertebrates and bees. Flammable, Contents under pressure.
Signs & Symptoms of Systemic Effects: May cause gastrointestinal effects such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Inhalation of high vapor or mist concentration can cause respiratory tract and eye irritation as well as central nervous
system effects including death.
PRIMARY ROUTE(S) OF ENTRY: Skin contact.
EYES: Causes minimal eye irritation.
SKIN: Minimally irritating. Skin contact may result in transient tingling and reddening of the skin. Prolonged or
repeated contact may result in contact dermatitis which is characterized by dryness, chapping and reddening.
Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
INGESTION: May cause irritation if ingested. Not an expected route of exposure for an aerosol product.
INHALATION: Slightly irritating. Harmful or fatal if inhaled in excess.

Section VI - First Aid Measures
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
EYES: Flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Call a physician if irritation persists.
SKIN: Wash thoroughly with soap and water for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove contaminate clothing and launder
separately before reuse. Contact physician if irritation persists.
INGESTION: Call poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of
water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or a doctor. Do not
give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
INHALATION: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, and then give
artificial respiration. Preferably mouth to mouth; if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further
treatment advice.
HINTS FOR PHYSICIAN: this product is a synthetic Pryethroid pesticide. If ingested and vomiting has not
occurred, emesis should be induced with supervision. Keep patient鈥檚 head below hips to prevent aspiration. If
symptoms such as loss of gag reflex, convulsions or unconsciousness occur before emesis, gastic lavage using a
cuffed endotracheal tube should be considered.

Do not administer milk, cream or other substances containing vegetable or animal fats. These only enhance
absorption of lipophilic substances.
If localized paresthesia develops, the site should be thoroughly washed soap and water. Cold cream can be applied
to help diminish the effect.

Section VII - Accidental Release Measures
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
GENERAL: Remove all sources of ignition. Ventilate area. Stop the source of the spill if safe to do so. Contain
the spill to prevent further contamination of the soil, surface water or ground water.

CLEAN UP: Rinse area with small amount of soapy water. Soak up with an absorbent material such as sand,
sawdust, clay, fuller鈥檚 earth etc. and dispose of in trash. Do not allow water to contaminate water supplies or
sewers.

Section VIII - Handling and Storage

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
Avoid breathing vapors or spray mist. Avoid contamination of feed and foodstuff. Avoid contact with eyes or
clothing. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Do not puncture or incinerate container. Do not use this
product in or on electrical equipment due to possibility of shock hazard.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:
Do not store near heat or open flame. Store in a cool, dry area away from children. Do not store near feed or
foodstuff. Do not transport or store below 32掳F. Do not store near heat or open flame. Exposure to temperatures
above 130掳F may cause bursting.
WORK/HYGIENIC PRACTICES:
Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

Section IX - Exposure Controls/Personal Protection

ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid being upwind of the mist or spray. Avoid
breathing mist or spray.
EYE/FACE PROTECTION: Safety glasses
SKIN PROTECTION: Chemical-resistant gloves.

Section X - Toxicological Information
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

CHRONIC/ CARCINOGENICITY:
S-bioallethrin: No known chronic effects based on available data.
Deltamethrin: General neurological symptoms were exhibited in studies with rats, mice and dogs. These symptoms
included unsteadiness, abnormal gait, tremors and liquid feces. No histopathologic findings were observed except
some signs of slight hepatotoxicity in mice. No Observed Effects Levels (NOEL鈥檚) were 1 mg/kg/day in the 2-year
rat and dog studies. The NOEL for the 2-year mouse study was approximately 12mg/kg/day/ Deltametherin were
not carcinogenic in rats or mice.
