POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS

Eye Irritation: Based on animal data, eye contact with Vendex 50%
WP may cause eye corrosion with corneal or
conjunctival ulceration.
Skin Irritation: Based on animal data, skin contact with Vendex 50%
WP may cause skin irritation with discomfort or rash.
Skin Absorption: Slightly toxic by contact.
Ingestion: Slightly toxic by ingestion.

Based on animal data, ingestion of Vendex 50% WP may cause nonspecific
discomfort, such as nausea, headache, or weakness; higher exposures may lead to
abnormal kidney function as detected by laboratory tests.

Inhalation: Moderately toxic by inhalation.

Based on animal data, inhalation of Vendex 50% WP may cause irritation of the
upper respiratory passages; temporary lung irritation effects with cough, discomfort,
difficulty breathing, or shortness of breath.

Individuals with preexisting diseases of the lungs may have increased susceptibility
to the toxicity of excessive exposures.

Carcinogenicity Information:
None of the components present in this material at concentrations equal to or
greater and 0.1% are listed by IARC, NTP, OSHA, or ACGIH as a carcinogen.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration preferably mouth-to-mouth. Get
professional medical attention immediately.
Eye Contact: Hold eyelids open and flush with water for 15-20
minutes until no evidence of chemical remains. Get
professional medical attention immediately if irritation
persists.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash with
plenty of soap and water for 15 - 20 minutes until no
evidence of chemical remains. Get professional
medical attention immediately if irritation persists.

First Aid Measures continued:

Ingestion: If victim is fully conscious, immediately give a large
quantity of milk, egg whites, gelatin solution, or if those

are not available, give large quantities of water, but DO
NOT induce vomiting. Get professional medical
attention immediately. Do not give anything by mouth
to an unconscious person.
NOTES TO PHYSICIANS:
Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. Measures
against circulatory shock, respiratory depression, and convulsion may be needed.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Flash Point & Method: Not determined
Flammable Limits: Not a fire or explosion hazard

FIRE FIGHTING HAZARDS & PROCEDURES
General Hazard: Like most organic powders or crystals, under severe
dusting conditions, this material may form explosive
mixtures in air.
Extinguishing Media: Use dry chemical, carbon dioxide, water spray or foam.
Fire Fighting Equipment/
Instructions: Keep personnel removed and upwind of fire. Wear self-
contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective
equipment. Use water spray. Runoff from fire control
may be a pollution hazard. If area is heavily exposed to
fire and if conditions permit, let fire burn itself out since
water may increase the contamination hazard. Burning
chemicals may product by-products more toxic than the
original material. If product is on fire, wear self-
contained breathing apparatus and full protective
equipment. Use water spray. Control run-off.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

NOTE: Review FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES and HANDLING (PERSONNEL)
sections before proceeding with clean-up. Use appropriate PERSONAL
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT during clean-up.

Emergency Response: Chemical resistant coveralls, waterproof gloves,
waterproof boots, and face / eye protection. If dusting
occurs, use NIOSH approved respirator protection.
Initial Containment: Follow applicable Federal, State / Provincial and Local
laws / regulations.
Accidental Release Measures continued:

Spill or Leak Procedures: Shovel or sweep up. Dispose of in an approved
container.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling (Personnel): Users should wash hands before eating, drinking,
chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet.
Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside.
Wash contaminated clothing thoroughly and put on
clean clothing. Remove personal protective equipment
immediately after handling this product. Wash the
outside of gloves before removing. Change into clean
clothing as soon as possible. Do not get in eyes, on
skin, or on clothing. Avoid breathing vapors or mist.
Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not store or
consume food, drink, or tobacco in areas where they
may become contaminated with this material.

Handling (Physical Aspects): Avoid dust generation. This is a water-dispersible
product. It may be packaged in a pre-measured water-
soluble packet which readily dissolves in water.
Exposure to moisture or excessive handling of the
soluble packets will cause them to break.

Storage: Store in a well ventilated place. Keep container tightly
closed. Do not store or consume food, drink, or
tobacco in areas where they may become
contaminated with this material. Store in a secure, dry,
and temperate area. Do not contaminate water, other
pesticides, fertilizer, food, or feed in storage.
