SKIN CONTACT: May cause irritation to broken skin.

INGESTION: May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract.

CHRONIC EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: May cause kidney damage evidenced by decreased urine output,
proteinuria, hematuria, and casts in the urine. May cause neurotoxic reactions including dizziness, ataxia (muscle
weakness), sensory disturbances of the face and extremities, blurred vision, and slurred speech. Neuromuscular
blockade causing respiratory paralysis can occur, especially in patients with impaired renal function.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY OVEREXPOSURE: Hypersensitivity to colistin sulfate and
polymyxin b sulfate, impaired renal function, overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS TO CONSIDER: Safe use of colistin sulfate during pregnancy has not been established.
This product should only be used during pregnancy when the potential benefits justify the possible risks to the fetus.
Persons developing hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions must receive immediate medical attention.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

INHALATION: Remove from exposure. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult,
give oxygen. Seek immediate medical attention.

EYE CONTACT: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists or develops seek medical
attention.

SKIN CONTACT: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation persists or develops seek medical
attention.

INGESTION: Seek medical attention or contact a poison control center immediately.

SECTION 6 - CONTROL AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Rubber.

EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses or goggles. Avoid wearing contact lenses when working with this or any chemical
due to the possibility of increased severity of eye damage.

VENTILATION: General or local exhaust recommended.

OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Appropriate laboratory apparel.
