HEALTH HAZARDS:

ACUTE: May cause eye, skin and or respiratory tract irritation. Ingestion could cause gastric upset, nausea,
stool softening and diarrhea.

CHRONIC: Prolonged use can result in dependence on laxatives, anal irritation, and/or pneumonitis.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE: Possible irritation of the eyes, skin, respiratory tract or
gastrointestinal tract.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY OVEREXPOSURE: Diarrhea, stool softening, dependence on
laxatives, gastrointestinal irritability.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

INHALATION: Seek medical attention immediately.

EYE CONTACT: Flush with water for 15 minutes. If irritation develops seek medical attention.

SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water. If irritation develops seek medical attention.

INGESTION: Seek medical assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.



SECTION 6 - CONTROL AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Approved mist respirator if possibility exists for generation of airborne mist.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Rubber or latex recommended.

EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses or goggles recommended. Avoid wearing contact lenses when working with this
or any chemical due to the possibility of increased severity of eye injury.

VENTILATION: Explosion-proof local or mechanical ventilation recommended if airborne mists are generated.

OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Appropriate laboratory apparel.

HYGIENIC WORK PRACTICES: Wash exposed skin ares after handling. Wash contaminated clothing before
reuse. Do not eat, drink or smoke near this material.

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS: Avoid inhalation of mist if generated. Wash exposed skin areas after handling. Wash
any contaminated clothing before reuse.

SECTION 8 - SPILL AND DISPOSAL PROCEDURES

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE OF SPILL OR DISCHARGE: Wear protective equipment (gloves, goggles, mist
respirator) and contain spill with absorbent material. Mop up spillage with absorbent material and
place in a tight container for disposal. Wash spill area with soap and water and ventilate.

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Incinerate or landfill according to all local, state, federal and environmental
regulations.
