SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE:
INHALATION: High vapor concentrations may be irritating to the respiratory tract and can cause headaches and
nervous system depression evidenced by dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and loss of coordination.
EYE CONTACT: Very irritating and may cause eye damage if not removed promptly. High vapor concentrations
are irritating to the eyes.
SKIN CONTACT: May cause irritation.
INGESTION: Toxic if ingested. May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract, vomiting, or nervous system
depression evidenced by dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, loss of coordination.
CHRONIC EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: Reduced respiratory function, varying degrees of CNS depression, coma
and death may occur.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY OVEREXPOSURE: Preexisting skin, eye and respiratory disorders.

INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration and seek medical assistance
immediately.
EYE CONTACT: Immediately flush with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water. If irritation persists or develops, seek medical attention.
INGESTION: Seek medical assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.
SECTION 6 - CONTROL AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: A NIOSH-approved mist/vapor respirator is recommended.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Rubber.
EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses or goggles. Avoid wearing contact lenses when working with this material due to the
possibility of increased severity of eye damage.
VENTILATION: Explosion-proof local or general exhaust recommended to minimize airborne levels.
OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Appropriate laboratory apparel.
HYGIENIC WORK PRACTICES: Do not eat, drink or smoke near this material. Wash any contaminated clothing
before reuse.
SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS: Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing and avoid breathing vapors.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS: Store in a tight container in a cool, dry, well ventilated location away from ignition sources.
SECTION 8 - SPILL AND DISPOSAL PROCEDURES
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE OF SPILL OR DISCHARGE: Remove any ignition sources. Wear all protective
gear including: respirator, goggles, gloves. Mop up spillage with an absorbent material and place in a tight container. Wash
spill site with soap and water and ventilate. Wash thoroughly after cleanup and wash all clothing and protective gear before
reuse.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Dispose of in accordance with all applicable local, state, federal, and environmental
regulations.
