Route of Entry : Inhalation : Vapours of CBFS can be inhaled especially
when it is hot.
Skin Contact : Causes irritation and skin burning and
redness.
Skin Absorption :
Eye Contact : Causes irritation and acute allergic
inflammation of the eyes, sclera and the cornea.
Effects of Exposure/Symptoms Acute Exposure : When hot, it may cause burns and release
toxic gasses. Vapours cause irritation to the eyes, nose and
throat. Avoid contact with skin and eyes when it is hot.
Chronic Exposure : May cause chronic Bronchitis on
chronic inhalation.
Emergency Treatment : Eyes : causes irritation to eyes. Wash with water and
apply anti-allergic drops. If irritation persists seek medical
attention
Skin : Causes skin irritation. Wash with copious
amounts of fluids and administer anti-inflmmatory , anti-
allergic drugs. For severe burns, seek medical attention.
Inhalation : Remove the patient to fresh air. Adninster
Oxygen through mask. If choking persistes nebulize steroids
