3) HAZARD IDENTIFICATION OF THE PRODUCT

Main hazard: Flammable.
Irritating to the eyes.
Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed.

Flammability: Flammable, flash point 28掳c

Reproductive hazard: None

Eye effects: Irritating

Skin effects: Severely irritant; sensitization of skin possible.

Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed

Carcinogecity: No evidence of carcinogenic properties.

Mutagenecity: No indication of mutagenic effects.

Neurotoxicity: No neurotoxic effects.

4) FIRST AID MEASURES

Eye contact: Rinse eyes thoroughly with water.
Consult an eye specialist.

Skin contact: Wash skin with copious amounts of water and soap.

Ingestion: Call an emergency doctor immediately.

Inhalation: Bring accident victims out into fresh air. Call a doctor immediately.

Symptoms of poisoning: Mild intoxication causes headache, blurred vision, weakness, sweating, mild chest pain, nausea and vomiting.
Severe intoxication causes cyanosis, muscular twitching, spasms, miosis and respiratory paralysis.
Therapeutic measures: Basic aid, decontamination.
Symptomatic treatment and if necessary administration of antidote: Atropine-possibly in conjunction with Toxogonin or Obidoxime
(PAM).

5) FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Extinguishing media: Sprayed water jet, foam, extinguishing powder, CO2, sand.

Contain firefighting water.

Special hazards: In the event of fire, the formation of hydrogen chloride, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and phosphorus
pentoxide must be anticipated.

Protective clothing: Wear respiratory protection. Well ventilated arrears: full face mask with combination filter, e.g. ABEK-P2
(offer no protection from carbon monoxide).

6) ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal precautions: Wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles and full mask with filter ABEK-P2.
In special cases additional measures for personal protection may be necessary e.g wearing protective hood,
chemical resistant and possibly antistatic protective gloves or boots and chemical resistant suit with or without
independent air supply.

Occupational health: Avoid contact with product.
Keep working clothes separate.
Change badly soiled or soaked clothing.
Wash hands before breaks.
Take a shower or a bath at the end of work.

Environmental precautions: Prevent entry into drains, waters or soil.
Take up spilled product with absorbent material (e.g. sawdust, peat, chemical binder).
Fill materials taken up into closable container.
To clean the floor and all objects contaminated by this material, use damp cloth.
Also place used cleaning materials into closable receptacles.

7) HANDLING AND STORAGE

Suitable material: Suitable container materials: V2A, V4A, aluminium, HDPE (high density polyethylene).

Handling/storage precautions: Observe the rules contained in the VCI concept for separate common storage.
To protect the quality of the product, avoid temperatures below -10掳C and above 40掳C.
Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
Store so that unauthorised persons do not have access.

Fire and explosion prevention: Take precautions to prevent formation of explosive mixtures.
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
Keep container tightly closed and in a well ventilated place.
Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

8) EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

Occupational exposure limits: Avoid contact with product.
Change badly soaked or soiled clothing.
Wash hands before breaks and at end of work.

Engineering control measures: Full mask with filter ABEK-Ps, protective gloves for chemicals, goggles, protective hood, chemical
resistant and antistatic.

Other protection: Protective hood, chemical resistant and antistatic protective gloves and boots and chemical resistant
suit with or without independent air supply.

13) DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

Disposable methods: In cases where larger amounts of the product have become unusable, it should be established whether
material utilization is possible (if necessary, consult the manufacturer/suppliers).

Small amounts of the product and uncleaned empty packaging should be packaged and sealed, labelled and
transferred to a suitable incinerator in accordance with the local regulations.
