CLEAR, COLORLESS AEROSOL SPRAY. PLEASANT ODOR.

Emergency Overview:
WARNING! CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. KEEP AWAY FROM HEAT, FLAMES AND
DIRECT SUNLIGHT. DO NOT PUNCTURE, CRUSH OR INCINERATE (BURN) CAN, EVEN
EMPTY. MAY CAUSE EYE IRRITATION.
Avoid breathing concentrated vapors. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid getting on skin, in
eyes, and on clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Symptoms of Overexposure:
Inhalation: No adverse effects expected in an otherwise healthy individual exposed to this
product during normal use. Excessive inhalation can cause headache, drowsiness, nausea and
lack of coordination. Breathing large amounts of spray may cause irritation of respiratory tract.
Skin Contact: May cause mild skin irritation. Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause
allergic reaction in susceptible individuals.
Eye Contact: Liquid sprayed into eyes may causes irritation and pain.
Ingestion: Swallowing is an unlikely route of exposure for an aerosol product . Swallowing large
amounts may produce mild gastrointestinal upset involving nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Chronic Effects: None known.
Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: Pre-existing respiratory and skin disorders.

Suspected Cancer Agent:
Yes No X

4 鈥? First Aid Measures
Ingestion (Swallowed): Swallowing is an unlikely route of exposure for an aerosol product. Do
not induce vomiting. Call physician, poison control center or the WD-40 Safety Hotline at 1-888-
324-7596. Give one eight-ounce glass of water to drink if the patient if conscious and responsive.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water, lifting upper and lower eyelids
occasionally. Get medical attention if irritation persists

Skin Contact: Flush skin with water. Get medical attention if irritation persists or other symptoms
develop.
Inhalation (Breathing): Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention if irritation or other symptoms
persist.

5 鈥? Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point: Not flammable in flame projection test, no flashback. The liquid is not flammable or
combustible.
Flammable Limits: Propellant LEL 1.8% UEL 9.5%
Aerosol Protection Level (NFPA 30B): Level 1
Extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, water fog.
Special Fire Fighting Instructions: Keep fire-exposed containers cool with water spray. In the
event of a fire, wear full protective clothing and a NIOSH approved self-contained breathing
apparatus with full face piece and operated in positive pressure mode. Use shielding to protect
from bursting cans.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Exposure of containers to extreme heat and flames can
cause them to rupture often with violent force and subsequent fire.

6 鈥? Accidental Release Measures
Ventilate area of spill and remove all sources of ignition. Observe all hazards mentioned in
Section 3. Wear personal protective equipment specified in Section 8. Move leaking cans to a
well ventilated area and allow propellant to dissipate if it is safe to do so. Collect liquid with an
inert absorbent and place in a suitable container for disposal.

7 鈥? Handling and Storage
Handling: Use with adequate ventilation. Do not smoke or use around open flames or sources of
extreme heat. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating vapors and inhaling can be
harmful or fatal. Avoid getting in eyes or on skin and clothing. Do not breathe vapors. Wash
thoroughly after handling, and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not crush, puncture
or incinerate containers. Do not place can in hot water or near radiators, stoves or other sources
of heat.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry ventilated area. Protect from physical damage. Do not store in direct
sunlight, near open flames or above temperatures greater than 120 F.
