Inhalation Acute Inhalation may cause choking, coughing, and irritation of the throat. Ulceration of the nose, throat,
or larynx, bronchitis, pneumonia, palpitations, and headache.
Chronic Repeated or prolonged exposure may cause erosion and discoloration of exposed teeth, chronic
bronchitis and gastritis.
Eye Contact Acute Contact may cause severe irritation, conjunctivitis, corneal necrosis and burns with impairment or
permanent loss of vision. Clouding or corrosion of the cornea. Contact with a compressed gas
may cause frostbite.
Chronic Effects are dependent on concentration and duration. See acute exposure.
Skin contact Acute Contact may cause severe irritation, inflammation, ulceration, necrosis, and chemical burns.

ROUTES OF ENTRY/EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention
Eyes: Rinse eyes with large amounts of cool water for 15-20 minutes lifting upper and lower lids. Rinse with saline
solution until the pH is back to normal (30-60 minutes) Get Medical Attention.
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash off with soap and large amounts of water. Use a good skin emollient.
If skin is burned, cover with a sterile dry dressing and seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not use gastric lavage or emesis. Dilute acid immediately by drinking large amounts of water or milk.
Ingested acid must be diluted 100 fold to render it harmless. Get medical attention.
