Special Firefighting Precautions/Instructions:
Firefighters should wear NIOSH approved positive pressure self contained breathing apparatus for protection against suffocation and
possible exposure to hydrochloric and hydroflouric acids and phosgene. Also, proper eye and skin protection should be used. Use water
spray to keep containers cool.

5. SPILL OR LEAK AND DISPOSAL PROCEDURES
Steps to be taken in case of spill or leak: - (Always wear recommended personel protective equipment.)

(Less than 1 pint): Move upwind and/or out of the area and allow to evaporate with good ventilation.

(Large Spills): Immediately evacuate the area and provide maximum ventilation. Only personnel equipped with proper respiratory and
eye/skin protection should be permitted in area. Dyke to contain the spill.

Take precautions as necessary to prevent contamination of ground and surface water. Spills and released may need to
be reported to Federal and or local authorities.

Hazardous Decomposition "Product will decompose at temperatures above 400 deg. C. Decomposition products include
hydrochloric acid, hydroflouric acid, and carbonyl halides such asphosgene."

Incompatibility:
Finely divided reactive metals. May attack some plastics. Avoid stong oxidizers and acids. Thoroughly test for all appli
cations before use.

9. EMERGENCY TREATMENT PROCEDURES
Ingestion: Swallowing of this material may result in irritation of the mouth and gastrointestinal tract, abdominal pain and vomiting in
addition to effects similar to those caused by inhilation. If victim is conscious, have him drink large amounts of water,
Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to by a physician. Take immediately to a hospital or physician.

Inhalation: High concentrations are irritating to the repiratory tract. May cause headache, dizziness, nausea/vomitting, narcosis.
Remove to fresh air. Give artificial resuscitation(CPR) if breathing has stopped. Give oxygen as necessary if
qualified operator is available. Get immediate medical attention.

Skin Contact: Brief contact may cause slight irritaion, prolonged contact may cause moderate irritaion and dermititis. This problem is
accentuated when liquid is trapped against skin by contaminated clothing and shoes. Remove contaminated clothing
and shoes and wash promptly with soap and water. Thoroughly clean contaminat
ed clothing and shoes before reuse of discard. If irritaions persists, get medical attention.

Eye Contact: Contact with high vapor consentration may cause irritation and pain. "Flush with large amounts of water for at least
15 minutes . If irritaions persists, get medical attention.

10. PERSONAL PROTECTION
Eyes: Splash-proof chemical safety goggles or face shield. Contact lenses should not be worn when using this product

Skin: Use protective gloves such as Viton & Norfiol are recommended; Do not use natural rubber.

Respiratory Protection: At high levels of concentration, use self contained breathing apparatus. Use local exhaust vetilation to keep vapors as
low as possibleUse NIOSH approved self-con
tained, positive pressure respirators for emergencies and in situations where air may be displaced by vapors.

Additional Recommendations: Safety shower and eye-wash fountain in immediate area. Personal protective clothing and use of equipment
must be in accordance with OSHA standards 29 CFR 1910.133 and 29 CFR 1910.132

Signs and Symptoms
of Exposure:
Skin: Prolonged and or repeated contact with this solvent can cause irritation of the skin (defatting of skin).

Eyes: Irritant: Liquid contact will irritate eyes and may cause conjunctivitis.

Inhalation: "Dizziness, loss of concentration and irritation. With high exposure levels, effects can include central nervous system (CNS)
depression (intoxication) and cardiac arrhythmia. Product vapors displace air and can cause suffocation especially in a
confined space.

Ingestion: Similar symptoms as for inhalation. Discomfort due to volatility of the solvent would be expected.
