SECTION III - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Potential Health Hazards (Acute and Chronic):
Ingestion: Concentrate - Immediate burning pain in the mouth, throat, abdomen and severe swelling of the
larynx, skeletal muscle paralysis affecting the ability to breathe, circulatory shock, convulsions.
May be fatal.
Diluted for Use per Label Directions 鈥? Mucous membrane irritant. Oral ingestion may result in
mild gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea.
Eye Contact: Concentrate - Direct contact can produce severe eye damage. Corrosive.
Diluted for Use per Label Directions 鈥? May cause mild irritation.
Skin Contact: Concentrate - Direct or prolonged contact can produce severe irritation. Corrosive.
Diluted for Use per Label Directions 鈥? May cause mild skin irritation.
Inhalation: Concentrate - Solvent vapors or mist of product can produce irritation of mucous membranes.
Exposure to ethyl alcohol concentrations of over 1,000 ppm may cause headache, irritation of the
eyes, nose and throat, and, if prolonged, drowsiness and lassitude, loss of appetite and inability to
concentrate.

SECTION IV - FIRST AID INFORMATION
First Aid Procedures (Concentrate):
Ingestion: If swallowed, call a Poison Control Center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have
person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by
the Poison Control Center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Eye Contact: If in eyes, hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove
contact lenses if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.
Skin Contact: If on skin or clothing, take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of
water for 15-20 minutes.
Inhalation: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give
artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a Poison Control Center
or doctor for treatment advice. Have the product container or label with you when calling
a poison control center or doctor or going for treatment.
Note to Physician: Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.

Other: Product package has a precautionary statement: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
DANGER. CORROSIVE. Causes irreversible eye damage and skin burns. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on
clothing. Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Wear protective eyewear (goggles,
face shield or safety glasses), protective clothing and protective (rubber, chemical resistant) gloves when
handling. Avoid breathing spray mist. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove and
wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Spilled: DANGER. Corrosive material. Wear appropriate protective gear and respiratory protection where mists or

Engineering Controls (Ventilation): In processes where mists or vapors may be generated, proper ventilation
must be provided in accordance with good ventilation practices.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Eye/Face Protection: Wear chemical splash goggles where there is a potential for eye contact. Use safety
Glasses with side shields under normal use conditions.
Skin Protection: Wear rubber or neoprene protective gloves to prevent skin contact.
Respiratory Protection: In processes where mists or vapors may be generated by the concentrated product,
a NIOSH/MSHA jointly approved respirator is advised in the absence of proper
environmental controls.
Other Protective Equipment: Eye wash; safety shower; protective clothing (long sleeves, coveralls or other, as
appropriate), to prevent skin contact.
