SECTION 4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Inhalation : Remove victim to fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is
difficult. Give artificial respiration if not breathing. Get medical
attention.

Skin contact : Flush skin with water while removing contaminated clothing and
shoes. In case of inflammation (redness, irritation, ...) obtain
medical attention. Show this sheet to the doctor. Do not reuse
clothing until cleaned.

Eye contact : Flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes while holding
eyelids open. Get medical attention.

Ingestion : Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep
head below hips to prevent aspiration of liquid into the lungs.
Get medical attention.

Notes to physician

Symptoms : Irritation as noted above. Early to moderate CNS depression
may be evidenced by giddiness, headache, dizziness and
nausea; in extreme cases, unconciousness, respiratory
depression and death may occur. Skin sensitization (allergy)
may be evidenced by rashes, especially hives.

Treatment : If more than 2.0 ml per kg has been ingested and vomiting has
not occurred, emesis should be induced with supervision. Keep
victim's head below hips to prevent aspiration. If symptoms
such as loss of gag reflex, convulsions or unconsciousness
occur before emesis, gastric lavage using a cuffed endotracheal
tube should be considered.

SECTION 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

Suitable extinguishing : Use water fog, "alcohol foam", dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
media

Specific hazards during fire : WARNING. Flammable.
fighting

Evacuate hazard area of unprotected personnel. Containers
exposed to intense heat from fires should be cooled with water
to prevent vapor pressure buildup which could result in container
rupture. Container areas exposed to direct flame contact should
be cooled with large quantities of water as needed to prevent
weakening of container structure. Cool fire exposed containers
with water.

Special protective : Do not enter confined fire space without full bunker gear (helmet
equipment for fire-fighters with face shield, bunker coats, gloves and rubber boots).
including a positive pressure NIOSH approved self-contained
breathing apparatus.

SECTION 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal precautions : Flammable.
Remove ignition sources.
Handling equipment must be grounded to prevent sparking.
Evacuate the hazard area of unprotected personnel.
Shut off leaks, if possible without personal risk.
If vapor cloud forms, water fog may be used to suppress.

Environmental precautions : Dike and contain.
Prevent from entering into drains, ditches or rivers.
Contain run-off and dispose of properly.

Clean-up methods - small : Take up with an absorbent material and place in non-leaking
spillage containers.
Seal tightly for proper disposal.

Clean-up methods - large : Remove with vacuum trucks or pump to storage/salvage
spillage vessels.
Soak up residue with an absorbent such as clay, sand or other
suitable material; place in non-leaking containers for proper
disposal.
Flush area with water to remove trace residue.

Additional advice : Notify authorities if any exposures to the general public or

environment occurs or is likely to occur.
See Section 13 for information on disposal.

SECTION 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling
Advice on safe handling : Keep liquid and vapor away from heat, sparks and flame.
Surfaces that are sufficiently hot may ignite even liquid product
in the absence of sparks or flame. Extinguish pilot lights,
cigarettes and turn off other sources of ignition prior to use and
until all vapors are gone. Containers, even those that have been
emptied, can contain explosive vapors. Do not cut, drill, grind,
weld or perform similar operations on or near containers. Do not
pressurize drum containers to empty them. WARNING. May
cause skin, eye, and respiratory tract irritation. May cause skin
sensitization. May cause CNS depression. Containers, even
those that have been emptied, can contain hazardous product
residues. Minimize skin contact. Wash with soap and water
before eating, drinking, smoking, applying cosmetics, or using
toilet facilities. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.
Air-dry contaminated clothing in well-ventilated area before
laundering. Contaminated leather articles, including shoes,
cannot be decontaminated and should be destroyed to prevent
reuse.

SECTION 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

Protective measures : Wear appropriate respirator and protective clothing.

Engineering measures : Use explosion-proof ventilation to control airborne
concentrations.
Eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available for
emergency use.

Eye protection : Avoid contact with eyes.
Wear chemical goggles if there is potential contact with eyes.

Skin and body protection : Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin.
Wear chemical-resistant gloves and other clothing as required to
minimize contact.

Respiratory protection : Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapors or mists.
Use a NIOSH-approved respirator as required to prevent
overexposure.
In accord with 29 CFR 1910.134,
Use either an atmosphere-supplying respirator or air-purifying

respirator for organic vapors.
Avoid breathing vapors which may be produced under some
conditions such as heating or applications of uncured material in
large surface areas (e.g., flooring and painting).
Avoid breathing aerosols and mists which may be formed by
various methods of application.
