3 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Potential Health Effects, Skin
May cause sensitization by skin contact. Sensitized persons may show asthmatic symptoms when exposed to atmospheric
concentrations well below the exposure limits. Absorption may occur through skin. Dries the skin. Repeated contact with
the skin may lead to inflammation.

Potential Health Effects, Eye
Splashes in the eyes may cause pronounced burning pains.

Potential Health Effects, Inhalation
Asthma, allergies, chronic or recurrent respiratory disease aggravated by exposure. Inhalation can cause headaches,
dizziness, tiredness and nausea. Prolonged or repeated inhalation may affect the nervous system and cause kidney and
liver complaints.

Potential Health Effects, Ingestion
If swallowed, stomach complaints and irritation of the digestive organs may result.

Signs & Symptoms of Short-Term (Acute) Exposure

4 FIRST AID MEASURES
Skin
Wash immediately with soap and water. Remove and launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Call a physician. Keep
at rest.

Eye
Rinse immediately with plenty of water. See a physician for medical treatment.

Inhalation
Remove to fresh air and keep warm. If breathing is difficult: artificial respiration. Call for a physician.

Ingestion
GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. Do not induce vomiting. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek
medical attention.

5 FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing Media
Foam, carbon dioxide, chemical powder, sand

Basic Fire Fighting Procedures
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, wear protective clothing and equipment. Water may be used to cool closed
containers to prevent pressure build-up and possible auto-ignition or explosion when exposed to extreme heat.

Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards
Vapors are heavier than air and may spread along floors. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Preparation may
charge electrostatically: always use earthing leads when transferring from one container to another. Operators should wear
anti static footwear and clothing. No sparking tools should be used. Avoid heat, open flames, static electricity, electrical
equipment and sparks. Keep container tightly closed. Application to hot surfaces requires special precautions.

6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Environmental Precautions
Dispose of or incinerate in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

Spill or Leak Procedure
Remove sources of ignition. Ventilate area. Remove by using suitable inert liquid absorbing material, e.g. kieselgur. Do not
breathe vapors. Clean preferably with a detergent. Avoid use of solvents.

7 HANDLING & STORAGE
Handling
FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY! Persons with a history of asthma, allergies, chronic or recurrent respiratory disease should
not be employed in any process in which this preparation is used. Do not breathe vapor. Use only in well ventilated areas.
Prevent the creation of flammable or explosive concentrations of vapor in air. Avoid vapor concentration higher than the
occupational exposure limit. Keep container tightly closed. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Avoid contact with skin
and eyes.

Storage
Store in cool ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed when not in use and during transport.

8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering Controls
Use and store with adequate ventilation.

Eye Protection: Personal Protection Equipments (PPE)
Wear chemical safety goggles.

Skin Protection: Personal Protection Equipments (PPE)
Protective Gloves: Required for repeated or prolonged contact, to protect against splash. Wear a protective apron if
splashing or repeated contact is likely.

Respiratory Protection: Personal Protection Equipments (PPE)
If TLV or PEL of one hazardous component is exceeded, use approved combination of charcoal filter and particulate filter
mask or airfed respirators. Its use must be in compliance with all OSHA health and fit testing requirements. Use respiratory
protection when spray painting.
