Secondary Containment Application
ARCOR EE-79 & EE-11

EE-79
EE-79 can be used as both a primer and a rebuild.
Use as is for a primer. Mix by volume, 2 parts Base to 1 part Activator. The kits we provide are
pre-measured and ready to mix. Pour the Activator (smaller container) into the Base and mix with
a drill & jiffy mixer attachment. A 5 gal size jiffy mixer is readily available at any Home Depot or
Wal-Mart.
Mix until the product is a consistent color with no streaks.

For application of a 4.5 Gallon kit it is best to have a minimum of 2 men ready to roll or squeegee
apply .

For rolling on concrete use a heavy nap roller such as 1". An 18" roller is good for large areas
(they are available at Home Depot). An alternative is to use an 18-24" floor squeegee. This works
faster if you have a relatively smooth floor. For a rough floor stick with the Rollers.

The EE-79 is self-leveling so as you roll or pull it out it quickly smooths out.

To get the longest working life of the product it is best to get it poured out as quickly as possible.
Don't pour it all in one spot, but pour it out over the immediate area you are in. A 4.5 gallon kit will
cover approx. 300-400 square feetso keep this in mind as you pour it out.

We find it helpful when working on large areas to where metal spike golf shoes. This allows you
to walk over even coated areas as you apply. As long as the product is still wet it will immediately
fill in the spike holes. It makes much easier to get around .

EE-79 can be used as a rebuild material. We mix it with sand or Sakrete/Quikcrete to fill in larger
pits & voids on the floor to level before applying the primer coat.

We start with a 60 lb bag and mix with (1.5) gallon of mixed EE-79. First add the sand to a plastic
mixing trough. ( $4.67 for a Black Plastic one at Home Depot). Mix the EE-79 and add 1/2 to the
sand and mix with a trowel add the rest and continue to mix until you get a slurry. If the mix is too
wet or too dry adjust the sand amount as needed in the next batches.

Use the slurry like cement to fill/patch the floor area. The benefit to this method is it minimizes the
amount of material to fill a void because sand is cheap. It does cost more than cement but with
this 'ARCRETE' mix you don't have to wait for 30+ days for it to cure for coating. With this
ARCRETE you can coat over it as soon as it tacks up. At 75F you could coat over it in as little as
6 hours.

EE-11
The EE-11 is a chemical resistant coating. It is much thicker than the EE-79 and it does not self-
level. This means you will have to smooth it as you go and it will cure to look as you leave it.

EE-11 also has a much shorter working life so mix only one (1) Gallon kit at a time and have 2
men to apply it. If the ambient air temperature is 80F or higher we would suggest having 3 men to
apply one gallon.

For application use a short nap, 1/8", 7-9" roller head. Also use hard plastic hand squeegees.
We find it easier to have 1 guy roll apply and another 1-2 guys working the product in and
smoothing it behind him.
If you find that you are having a difficult time getting an entire gallon applied completely before it
starts to stiffen then you can add some Acetone to slow the cure and loosen the mix so its easier
to apply.
