6. TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES.

Route of entry -

Skin contact: May cause temporary local reddening and itching. Prolonged contact
may cause defatting of the tissue, which can subsequently lead to dermatitis.
Skin absorption: There is no evidence in than literature that this occurs.
Eye contact: Immediate stinging and pain with reddening and possible
swelling of the conjunctiva. Excess tearing and blinking.
Inhalation: Inhalation of high vapour concentrations is irritating to the
upper respiratory tract, which can be experienced as nasal discomfort and
discharge. Coughing and chest discomfort can also result.
Ingestion: Product is moderately toxic. May cause abdominal discomfort,
nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, drowsiness, fainting, lack of coordination, and
kidney damage secondary to red cell breakdown and liver damage.

Irritancy of product: Primary irritant. Refer also to the foregoing information.

Sensitization of product: Refer to the foregoing information.

Carcinogenicity of product: Components of the product are not known to carcinogenic.

Teratogenicity of product: Components of the product are not known to be teratogenic.

Mutagenicity of product: Some data in the literature suggest that d-limonene is mutagenic.

Reproductive toxicity: No data available on reproductive toxicity of the components.

Synergistic products: None known.

Effects of acute exposure: Irritation of the eyes, nose and throat.

Effects of chronic exposure: Base on animal studies, may lead to kidney damage. Either prolonged or
repeated skin contact can cause deffating of the skin, which may lead to
dermatitis.

(PREVENTIVE MEASURES 鈥? CONTINUED)

Engineering controls: All equipment used with this product should be explosion and spark
proof.
Adequate ventilation should be employed to keep air concentration
with in the TLV鈥檚庐.

Leak and spill procedures: In the event of a large spill evacuate all unnecessary personnel.
Eliminate all ignition sources. Provide good ventilation to the affected
area. Cleanup personnel should don the required personal protective
equipment. Dike the spill with an absorbent material to prevent entry
into sewers and waterways. Use an absorbent to sop up spill. Sweep
up all absorbent materials and place in a proper disposal drum. Use
only spark proof material in cleaning up spilled material.

Waste disposal: Dispose of spilled materials in accordance to government regulations.

Handling procedures and equipment: Do not apply to hot surfaces or live electrical equipment. Do not
pressurize containers. Do not cut, heat, or weld empty containers. Keep
containers closed when not in use.

Storage requirements: Store closed containers in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from
all ignition sources. Do not store in direct sunlight.

Specific shipping information: FLAMMABLE LIQUID, N.O.S. (DIACETONE ALCOHOL)

8. FIRST AID MEASURES.

Eye contact: Holding eyelids well apart, flush with running water for at least 15 minutes. Get
medical attention.
Skin contact: For a large contact remove contaminated clothing under a safety shower. Flush skin
contact area for 15 minutes with running water. Soap should be used while this is
done.
If any irritation persists get medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove victim to victim to fresh air. Apply artificial respiration if necessary. Get
medical attention.
