EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
The product contains a liquefied gas. Evaporation of liquid may cause frostbite and injury to the cornea. The product
may have a narcotic effect at high concentrations. Heating of the product in a container will cause a rise in pressure
with a risk of bursting. On combustion, toxic gases are released. The product is dangerous for the ozone layer.
o
Contents under pressure. Use and store below 52 C/125掳F.
For short and long term exposure effects see Section 11 Toxicological data

PRODUCT NAME : REFRIGERANT GAS - ISCEON 69L
Fire and Explosion Hazard: Specific Hazards :
鈥? Pressurised container : On heating there is risk of bursting due to internal
pressure build-up.
NOT flammable. However, it may present a risk in the event of a fire. Material
releases toxic gases (halogenated compounds, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen
fluoride).
Specific Fire Fighting Hazards :
鈥? Stay up wind
鈥? Evacuate personnel away from the fumes
Cool down containers/equipment exposed to heat with a water spray.
Special Protective Equipment Fire fighters should wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) which
for Fire Fighters: meets appropriate standards operated in positive pressure mode.
For Flammability Properties - see Section 9
6. Accidental Release Measures
In the event of a spillage : avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe gas. NO naked flames. DO NOT
smoke. Heavy vapours-therefore shut off low-level openings in the vicinity (ventilation shafts, drains etc.). Prevent
the product from entering cellars, basements, pits etc. Stop the leak. Ventilate spillage area. Ventilate basements.
For further information see Section 8 鈥淓xposure controls and Personal protection鈥?.
Clean up : recover as much of the product as possible. Allow residual product to evaporate.
For disposal of contaminated materials refer to Section 13 鈥淒isposal considerations鈥?
7. Handling and Storage
When handling, avoid contact with hot surfaces and avoid high temperature. Smoking is forbidden.
Storage facilities should be equipped with ventilation at low levels. Take all necessary precautions to avoid the
accidental release of the product, resulting from rupture of containers or transfer systems.
It is recommended that you keep containers:
鈥? tightly closed and dry.
鈥? in a cool, well-ventilated area.
鈥?
o o
at temperatures not exceeding 45 C/113 F.
鈥? away from any source of ignition.
鈥? away from any source of heat.
It is recommended that the material is stored in pressurised steel containers. Containers made of magnesium and
its alloys, zinc and its alloys and aluminium alloys containing more than 2% magnesium are not suitable.
