INHALATION None Allocated

ENGINEERING CONTROLS
Use with adequate ventilation, local exhaust.
PERSONAL PROTECTION

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
None required if the airborne concentrations are maintained below the TWA/TLV's listed in the COMPONENT EXPOSURE
INFORMATION Section. When mist occurs during spraying operations, wear a AS1716 approved (or equivalent) disposable
half mask dust/mist respirator.
EYE PROTECTION
Use chemical splash goggles as approved to AS1337 or equivalent.
HAND PROTECTION
The gloves listed below may provide protection against permeation. Gloves of other chemically resistant materials may not
provide adequate protection.
NEOPRENE

FLAMMABILITY
Non-flammable. In a fire the material may dry out and contribute to the fire.

SAFE HANDLING

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
STORAGE CONDITIONS

maximum recommended storage temperature is 35掳C.
TRANSPORT CONDITIONS

Rev: 3, 7/07/2005
TC0624 MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET

This product is not classified as a dangerous good under the provisions of the Australian Code for the transport of Dangerous
Goods by road and rail.
HANDLING PROCEDURES
Monomer vapours can be evolved when this material is heated during processing operations. See ENGINEERING CONTROLS
in PRECAUTIONS FOR USE Section for types of ventilation required.

SPILLS AND DISPOSAL
PERSONAL PROTECTION
Appropriate protection equipment must be worn when handling a spill of this material. See the PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Section for recommendations. If exposed to material during clean-up operations, see the FIRST AID PROCEDURES Section
for actions to follow.
PROCEDURES
Keep spectators away. Floor may be slippery, use care to avoid falling. Contain spills immediately with inert materials (eg sand,
earth). Transfer liquids and solid dyking materials to separate suitable containers for recovery or disposal. Small amounts of dye
may be neutralized with dilute bleach to render colourless. Use caution when adding bleach since decomposition of dye
generates heat, do not add large quantities of bleach to large quantities of dye. Do not add bleach if other organic materials
present (eg sawdust, resin, cotton rags)
CAUTION Keep spills and cleaning runoffs out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water.
WASTE DISPOSAL
Land fill or incinerate residues in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD

CAUTION Keep spills and cleaning runoffs out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water.
WASTE DISPOSAL
Coagulate the emulsion by the stepwise addition of Ferric Chloride and Lime. Remove the clear supernatant and flush to a
chemical sewer. Incinerate the liquid and contaminated solids in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD
UNUSUAL HAZARDS
Material can spatter above 100掳C, Polymer film can burn.
EXTINGUISHING AGENTS
Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Wear self contained breathing apparatus (pressure demand, AS1716 approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
INSTABILITY
This material is considered stable. However, avoid temperatures above 177掳C, the onset of polymer decomposition. Thermal
decomposition is dependant on time and temperature.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS
Thermal decomposition may yield acrylic monomers.
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION
Product will not undergo polymerisation.
INCOMPATIBILITY
Incompatible with strong acids and oxidising agents. Reaction with acids will yield Carbon Dioxide gas.
