HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Exposure inhalation, skin and eyes: The combination of ingredients is
classified as inert, respirabe nuisance dust.
Exposure can irritate skin, eyes and mucous
membranes.
When mixed with water the product becomes
slightly caustic and can dry the skin. It may
cause inflammation of the cornea and the
lining of the respiratory system.
There are trace amounts of hexavalent
chromium present (0-5 p.p.m.). In
sensitized individuals this may cause allergic
dermatitis.
Ingestion: Under normal use conditions no problems
should occur.
EMERGENCY/FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
Inhalation: Move to fresh air; consult physician and /or obtain competent
Emergency assistance.
Ingestion: Wash mouth and lips with water. Spit out and seek medical
attention.
Eye Contact: Flush with water and seek medical attention.
Skin Contact: Wash exposed areas with soap and water.

PRECAUTION FOR USE
OSH WORKPLACE EXPOSURE STANDARDS:

Keeping the material damp will assist in dust suppression.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION DATA:
Non-flammable and non-explosive (Class B). If contaminated, collect in suitable
containers for disposal using an appropriate method e.g. damping with water, to
avoid creating dust. Where dust is created wear a correctly fitted, approved
respirator preferably fitted with a filter for protection against toxic dusts.
STORAGE AND HANDLING
Handling and Storage: Mortar plaster should be stored in such a
way that bags are protected from moisture.
Spills and Waste Disposal: Spills of dry product can be cleaned up with
broom, shovel or vacuum, taking care to minimize
airborne dust.
Wet product can be hosed down, care should be
taken to ensure product does not enter drainage
systems.
Personnel involved in cleaning up spills should
protect skin, eyes and respiratory tract from
exposure.
