Classification: Harmful if swallowed; risk of serious damage to eyes.
Warnings: May cause severe mucous irritation to the gastro-intestinal tract.
Contact with eyes may cause severe irritation and corneal damage.
Main exposure risks and symptoms:
Contact with eyes: vapor may cause irritation, tears, redness and pain. Contact may cause severe irritation and
corneal damage. May cause burns.
Ingestion: single dose oral toxicity is low. Swallowing large amounts may cause severe mucosal irritation,
lesions to mouth, esophagus, or gastro-intestinal tract. May also cause abdominal pain, nausea,
vomiting and diarrhea.
Inhalation: low vapor pressure makes it a low inhalation hazard unless heated or misted. Vapor or mist cause
irritation to the respiratory tract. Do not breath fumes.
Contact with skin: may cause irritation and redness. May also cause an allergic reaction. May be absorbed
through skin.
Chronic exposure: prolonged or repeated skin exposure may causes dermatitis. Animal studies have shown
target organ effects on the liver and kidney.

contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
Eye contact: Promptly wash eye with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting eyelids occasionally; seek medical
advice immediately.
Inhalation: Irritant - remove from the origin of exposure and keep patient in contact with fresh air. If patient is not
breathing arrange to artificial respiration. If patient has a labored respiration, dispense an oxygen supply. Call a
physician. In any case consult a physician and show the container and/or label.
Direction for Physician: Symptomatic treatment by a physician.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing Media: dry chemical, foam or carbon dioxide. Do not use water.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: In case of fire, wear a respirator with an organic vapor cartridge and particulate filter
(eg. Half-face respirator NIOSH type N95 or better filter; full face respirator NIOSH N 100 filter)
Unusual Fire Fighting Procedures: Keep away from heat, sparks and flames.
Thermal Decomposition: emits toxic fumes under fire conditions.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Steps To Be Taken After Spillage: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as specified in Section 8. Dilute
liquids with water and absorb with an inert material and place in a chemical waste container for disposal. Wash
contaminated area with dilute bleach or soap.
Absorbant Material: vermiculite, dry sand, earth. Do not use combustible materials, as sawdust.
Waste Disposal Method: Consult a specialist for disposal of the spilled substance.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Keep in its original container, tightly closed . Protect from physical damage. Open and handle container
carefully. Use in a chemical fume hood. Wear heavy rubber gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing. Do not
swallow. Do not breathe vapor. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Storage: Store between +2掳C (35,6掳F) and +8掳C (46,4掳F).
Other Precautions: Do not store near heat or ignition sources.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
