Technical Bulletin Sheet: Phosphate Free Laundry Detergent

Applications: ENVIRO phosphate free laundry powder is a biodegradable laundry

powder with not only broad application but also is free from phosphates, which

can cause environmental problems such as eutrophication of waterways. Enviro

Phosphate free laundry powder combines a balanced blend of alkaline builders

to break up soils. A multifunctional biodegradable blend of surfactants creates a

system that loosens particulate soil and also emulsifies oil and grease stains.



Enviro Phosphate free laundry powder also contains water conditioners to

promote cleaning under hard water conditions.

Application:

Enviro phosphate free laundry detergent is a biodegradable laundry powder with

broad applications and it is free of phosphates, which can cause serious

environmental problems. The ENVIRO phosphate free laundry detergent is a

balanced blend of alkaline builders to break up soil, plus water conditioners to

promote cleaning under hard water conditions. The wide ranging areas of

application include Hotel, hospital, industrial, commercial and household

laundries.



Directions for use:

We recommend the following dosage rates

   � For 3-4kg wash use 50 � 100g or 1 � 2 scoops of powder

   �   For 5 � 6kg wash use 70 � 140g or 1.5 � 2.5 scoops of powder

   �   For 8kg wash use 100 � 200g or 2 � 4 scoops of powder



Specific Hazards:

The product is mildly toxic when ingested, can cause eye irritation, and on

prolonged exposure the skin may lose natural oils contributing skin irritation.

Ingestion may also cause regurgitation and foaming, thus there is a risk of

drowning in the foam.



Care must be taken when disposing of waste water after using the product, as

alkalinity can affect marine life if undiluted. However, once diluted in water, the

effect is unnoticeable. There are no medium to long term effects from

phosphates due to the absence of phosphates used in ENVIRO phosphate free

laundry detergent.



The product must not be stored with oxidizing agents and strong acids. Store ina

a cool dry well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of

children.



First Aid Instructions:

The product is a mildly alkaline powder. The use of rubber gloves is

recommended when handling the product.

   � Contact with skin: remove contaminated clothes and gently flush skin with

       water until skin no longer feels soapy. Launder contaminated clothes

       before re-use.

   � Contact with eyes: hold eyelids apart and flush eye(s) with gently running

       water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

   � Ingestion: when ingested, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention

       immediately.

   � Inhalation: If over-exposure to dust occurs, immediately move from the

       affected area to fresh air.
