POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS
EYE CONTACT:
May cause transient eye irritation (tears, blurred vision and redness).
SKIN CONTACT:
Prolonged exposure may skin irritation.
SKIN ABSORPTION:
A single prolonged exposure is not likely to result in the material being absorbed through skin in harmful
amounts.
INGESTION:
If aspirated (liquid enters the lung), may cause lung damage due to chemical pneumonia, a condition caused by
petroleum and petroleum-like solvents.
INHALATION:
In general, overexposure to high atmospheric concentrations of alkyl-substituted aromatics may produce central
nervous depression, headache, dizziness, incoordination, nausea and loss of appetite.

SECTION 4 FIRST-AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT:
Irrigate immediately with large amounts of water until irritation subsides. If irritation persists, seek medical
attention.
SKIN CONTACT:
Remove all contaminated clothing and wash affected area of skin with soap and water. Get immediate attention if
irritation develops and persists.
INGESTION:
If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
INHALATION:
Remove to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention immediately.

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURE:
Firefighter should wear normal protective equipment (full bunker gear) and positive-pressure self-contained breathing
apparatus. Water can be used to cool fire-exposed containers, to protect personnel and to disperse vapor and spills. Water
runoff can cause environmental damage. Dike and collect water used to fight fires.
