Health Effects
ACUTE:
Swallowed:
Small amounts transferred to the mouth by fingers during use, are unlikely to injure. swallowing large
amounts may cause stomach discomfort.
Eye:
Direct contact may cause moderate irritation with redness and swelling.
Skin:
Contact with skin may result in irritation.
Inhaled:
Slight irritant to respiratory system.
CHRONIC:
Prolonged or repeated contact may result in skin sensitisation due to presence of small amounts of
diethylamine.
First Aid
Swallowed:
If swallowed, rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Seek medical advice.
Eyes:
If in eye, irrigate immediately with copious amounts of water for 15 minutes with eyelids held open.
See a doctor.
Skin:
Wash affected areas immediately with copious quantities of soap and water.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. See a doctor if irritation persists.
Inhaled:
If ill effects persist, seek medical advice.

Have eyewashes available where contact with eye can occur.

Engineering Controls:
If not working in open air use good general ventilation that will ensure that atmospheric exposure
standards are not exceeded. In confined spaces, use a local exhaust that will give sufficient face
velocity away from the user to ensure that the exposure limits are not exceeded.
Personal Protection:
Wear safety overalls, safety glasses and rubber gloves. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid
breathing vapour. Always wash hands before smoking, eating, drinking or using the toilet.
Flammability:
This product is not flammable under normal condition of use. Maintain good ventilation. Do not smoke
or work near ignition sources when using this product.
SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
Storage and Transport:
Store in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight. Not considered a Dangerous Good. No special
transport precautions are necessary.

Keep away from strong oxidising agents.

Spills and Disposal:
Immobilise using an absorbent and transfer to a suitable container for disposal. Wash walking
surfaces with a detergent and water to reduce slipping hazard. Personnel should wear organic vapour
mask during clean up. For disposal, consult responsible authority regarding statutory requirements
Fire/Explosion Hazard:
This product is not flammable. Fire fighters to wear self contained breathing apparatus if risk of
exposure to vapours. Fire fighters to wear full protective equipment. Extinguish using water, water fog,
carbon dioxide, dry chemical or foam.
Hazardous Decomposition:
Incomplete combustion can yield carbon oxides and traces of incomplete burned carbon compounds,
silicon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, metal oxides, formaldehyde, quartz and other
hazardous products of combustion.
